So far loving the new format with Speed Sport News. So afraid we were going to lose it after Doug died. Thoughts?

I think it is a very creative way of keeping both publications round, while keeping the pipeline for racing junkies alive. Nice Job !!!

Me deciding to stop writing for Sprint Car and Midget Magazine had ZERO to do with the magazine or the great people who run it!
I had actually spoken to Doug Auld several months before his unfortunate passing telling him that I had planned on stopping at the end of the year.
I enjoyed writing a column for all the years that I did it but it was getting to the point that I had a lot of other things going on and it made it harder to find the time to meet the deadline every month.
It was for that reason and that reason only that I decided it was time for me to stop writing! Believe me, it was a very difficult decision to make and maybe down the road I will do an occasional column, it just won't be monthly.
Thank you to those who support and subscribe to SC&M and Speed Sport and thank you to those of you who might have enjoyed reading my column for all these years!
Brad Doty

I wasn't isinuating you had a problem with the magazine or the people who run it.
I suppose is my fault for not saying more so my comment wouldn't be taken out of context.
I was just hoping that your leaving isn't any indication that Doug was the one keeping it all together.
I have been a subscriber since 2012 and have enjoyed every issue from cover to cover.
Thanks for being a contributor and I wish you luck in whatever you future holds.
Bring back Santa Fe, and LaSalle .
