No Silver Cup at Lernerville this year. I guess they got ticked off when Lernerville switched sanactions for The Firecracker 100 for DLM's from a WOOLMS sanction to a LOLMS sanction. Good for WRG, although others might not agree, they stood their ground. I am sure Port Royal will make it a Crown Jewel event with the same date in the schedule.

Yeah, doesn't help that a bunch of theft happens at that track with the t-shirt haulers, and it's a pretty shitty look seeing people tearing off the banners before the feature is even finished running. Liked the track, but the culture around there has made it a pain.

well i hope lernerville can book another show...sad that an established event like the don martin won't be happening next year.

and that will be a little less money for the month of money. There are bad eggs no matter where you go. so punish the rest of us that

enjoy 410 sprint car racing

That is exactly right, a lot of people get pissy about it but that is how business works. WRG would be stupid to let Lernerville switch to LOLMDS and kick out the WoO Late Models but still reward them with multiple WoO Sprint shows. Lernerville will bring in the ASCOC I'm sure so they will be fine too. Good for WRG on standing their ground though.

2 new $100k to win shows. Husets, and the HBO at Eldora. $1m point fund with $200k to the winner. Streaming money kicking in it seems.

Lernerville being left off had everything to do with them switching to Lucas Oil for the firecracker. That was a premier event for the WOOLMS and they ditched them, so WRG went the other way. It'll be interesting to see if Lernerville holds a Don Martin Memorial, the Port Royal race is on Wednesday whereas the don martin was always Tuesday. We'll see if they can get more ASCoC dates, the all-stars haven't ran at Lernerville since 2019 (2020 and 2021 were cancelled with no makeup) and have had only 1 date there for many years. For whatever extra they are getting out of the firecracker now, can't imagine it's worth 2 WoO sprint races

Lucas Oil series is way, way better than the WOOLM and it's not even close. How can you blame a track for switching from a series that is down to only 1 or 2 top teams and what about 6-7 total, to a series that brings twice as many cars and most of the top teams. Port Royal's biggest LM race is sanctioned by Lucas Oil. I don't know why that should have anything to do with a sprint show but seems to me WRG needs to focus more on fixing the problems with the WOOLM instead of using them to blackmail tracks and taking their sprint dates.

Odd that there is only 1 Sunday race on the schedule. One would think a Sunday night would be more desirable than a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sure, in a vacuum most would agree Lucas Oil is better than WoOLM, but I doubt many would sacrifice both WoO sprint dates to change from WoO to Lucas- it's not like the Firecracker was having trouble with crowd, car counts or quality SLM's plus the Silver Cup and Commenwealth clash both draw huge crowds. Which is why the Port comparison doesn't work. It's not that Lernerville is having a Lucas show that is the issue, its that Lernerville dropped the WoO for Lucas for one of the crown jewel events. Port didn't drop the WoOLM for Lucas, Port still has a WoOLM race on schedule. I'm sure Lernerville knew of the consequences, or potential consequences of their decision. We'll see what they do schedule wise. In any event, Port and Sharon reap the benefits of Lernerville's decision.

As for all the complaining on social media about Wayne County not being on the schedule, that place just doesn't have the infrastructure. There is 1 concession stand for the entire place, with one lady (who does a great job) cashing out every single burger, hot dog, fry for the entire night. Was at the Pete Jacobs race and had to wait over 45 minutes in line to get food. Not to mention if you don't want to pay to park at someone's house down the road you have to be there 3 hours early. Great racing, but not nearly the infrastructure needed

Hummm, sharon and port royal get sprint car dates.  Both also have Lucas late models on there schedules. Remember,  the race at lernerville is going to pay 50 K . It may not have been wrg that pulled the plug, I understand everyone's thoughts, it may have been about sanctioning fee's too.

Not to stir the pot too much with something I don't know much about (but it's Hoseheads; that's what we do here, right?)...

Saw some discussion on Twitter that the real issue for Lernerville is that WRG isn't sharing $$ from DirtVision with the tracks.  Just theorizing here, but that may have been the main reason why the Firecracker changed sanctions and the lack of 2022 WoO Sprint dates is just a continuation of that beef between the two parties.

Might we see Flo come in and put some decent money behind the Silver Cup with the All Star sanctioning?

The Silver Cup purse has been embarassing for a while, paying less to win than it did 20 years ago and only around an $80k total purse. Not close to a Crown Jewel anymore yet they still had packed houses. I wonder if WRG came in and told them to raise the purse and Lernerville told them to give them a better share of streaming.

Total speculation but it's interesting.

Saw some of the same things you did on Social Media about Wayne County and agree with your assessment. The track although a very good one and racy one just does not have the infrastructure to hold an Outlaw event. The Outlaw even last year was packed but not really the best accommodations as you said the concession stand line was never ending but more importantly people were standing at the fence or in the aisle way infront of the grandstands because they did not have enough seating for a crowd that size. We ended up getting a pit pass and standing in the pit area just to be able to see everything, and as you said not nearly enough parking.

Being from Ohio I am perfectly happy with the schedule. All the races at Eldora, couple races at Sharon, couple races at Attica, and 1 at Atomic which is big especially with the new promoter. I have no complaints about the schedule as between it and the All Star schedule I will probably get to about 20-30races next year.

Unless you have nowhere to put them, which is kind of the issue. They barely could fit all the outlaw merch trailers

Yep, I like the racing a lot at WCS, but if your the outlaws and you can go to facilities like Attica and Sharon, you're going to go there over WCS easy decision. After being at the outlaw show last year and Pete jacobs race this year don't have too much of an appetite to see an outlaw show there unless there is major improvements to many areas.

The tracks get no cut of the dirtvision profits? Hmmm, that doesn't seem right. Do FLO and other streaming services share profits with the tracks?
