Anybody know if Larson sold all of his cars, engines, hauler, etc? Just wondering if it's all still together or if it' was liquidated?

I'm sure he was making way more back in the day with Target and other big companies sponsoring those teams. I'm not completely clear on the way the economics of nascar works but he was rumored to be making around $8m before the racial slur and now likely doesn't make near as much despite all the on track success he's having.

I believe Anthony Macri's team bought Larson's trailer and debuted it a few months ago. They sold their old trailer, formerly owned by Cody Darrah, to KKR.

He's absolutely making more now than before due to his winnings. The sponsorship piece doesn't matter because Hendrick Cars isnt a place holder because they can't get sponsors, they are paying big money to be on Larson's ride same market price as anyone else.

I don't believe Larson is making anywhere near what he was making his last year in the 42-----as far as base salary is concerned. This seemed to be the talk when he got the ride. No reason for Hendrick to pay him big-----he wasn't bidding against anyone else. Not sure what his take is when he wins a race, so it would be speculation to assume he's raking it in compared to the past. If I was a betting man, I'd say he's a long ways off of his previous earnings when his stock was high. (I know his stock is higher now, but he signed the contract when it wasn't)
As far as running an Outlaw team, I can't see how he would be in a big hurry to hemorrhage money after just getting back on his financial feet. Maybe someday, when his bankroll is built back up, he is on solid footing, and sponsors are ringing his phone off the hook, we may see another KLR car on the tour. Otherwise, I wouldn't bet on it for quite a while.

Jacob and I dropped Macris trailer off for KKR at Sean Michael's shop while at William's Grove. Probably had to do with Kahne racing for Roth. Wasnt given any details why we were doing what we were doing... I just know Sean's place was extremely gorgeous and everything I hope to achieve in my racing life away from the track.

No reason to start another WOO team as He has best of both worlds and not the worries associated of being a car owner.

his souvenir sales have to be through the roof. people were waiting for the trailer to open saturday am at t.j. rockwell's. they're constantly adding new stuff to his web site. he has to be one of the better selling nascar drivers as well.

Hard to find anything about his new contract other than "sources." If you look up his salary from Chip, his final earning's year was reported to be $9 million with $1 million of that being endorsements. I do remember seeing an article a couple of years before he left Chip where it reported the only drivers still making double-digit millions, and he was listed as the being right under the cut at $8 million. That said, many speculated that Hendrick would be able to sign him on the "cheap"----$5 million - 6 million per year. The problem is, unlike other major sports, Nascar salaries are fairly secret these days. Why? By making the salaries public, and showing a HUGE drop in driver's salaries over the last 20 years, is a black-eye on the sport. Drivers like Jr. and Gordon were making well above $20 million just 10-15 years ago. Now, almost none make over $10 million.
So, beggin for FACTS? We will never get them. We just have to piece together what we hear from "experts" and leaks.

Yeah, truly amazing how many people on Horseheads know the financial status of people they don't even know.

This article is from 2020, before the slur, which may or may not be accurate, but it is probably more accurate than what is being pulled out of Hosehead's posters collective asses. This backs up the $8-9m salary that egras pointed out.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2020/02/14/nascars-highest-paid-drivers-2020-kyle-busch-takes-the-lead-with-18-million-as-driver-salaries-stall/?sh=6c04ef044365
This is an article right after he signed with Hendrick that refers to a $1m per year. Again, we don't know how much merch sales or bonus money he's getting for winning alot, but it won't make up the difference between a $8-9m salary and a $1m salary.

Thanks for hunting these down.
I read the first article back a few years ago-----yes, that is where I thought I got that info.
I may have read the second article as well, but got my numbers crossed. Either way, it seemed clear to me after reading both that he took a big hit.
