Did anyone else see the twitter post about Ayrton Gennetten stating that the ASCS National series purse was cut for this past weekends races?  If so, that sets a pretty bad precedent that a track can decide to cut the advertised purse for a national series event.

It was a 2 day show cut to one day so that's normal. Also ASCS has cut everything this year just to book a race as no one's cares about the 6 car national tour. Just a joke anymore. JMHO

2 day show, shortened or not.  You don't cut the purse and not tell anyone at all till after the race when handing out checks.  Quickest way to ruin a series and track.  Pathetic    Glad some drivers are speaking out about crap like this!!  Don't support the drivers that are there supporting your series and track and they won't show up.

Crappy thing to do for any series or track! Not shocking coming from the ASBS series, what a joke! Not a fan of the series, never have been never will be.360's suck! I would love to see "sprintcars" not limited 360 and 410's just run what you have at a sprintcar race! Lets get back to being sprintcars without distinction by cubic inches. Knoxville seems to have handled the 360's better than anyone, but every year I see them increasing the purse taking away from the "feeder" class for the real sprints, the 410's!

changing the payout without notifying the drivers beforehand can bring the track irreparable harm, LOS is a nice facility, would hate to see it become dormant again, I love having the WoO and All Stars at a venue just a few miles from my home, Wheatlands Lucas Oil Speedway is a top notch facility, but they refuse to host the WoO or the All Stars.

I would love to see the outlaws and allstars at wheatland! I was there years back for the WoO event and really enjoyed it! A top notch facility that deserves top notch series! Drop the asbs crap and get a real sprintcar series in there!!!

what was it 10 years or so ago that ASCS had 15 drivers that committed to the whole tour, guys like Jason Johnson, Shane Stewart, Brady Bacon, Paul McMahan, Wayne Johnson, Gary Wright, Travis Rilat, Tony Bruce Jr, Jeff Swindell, Johnny Herrera, Ricky Logan, Tim Crawley, Jack Dover are just a few that come to mind that ran the whole deal.

for 2021 they got what 6-7 tour regulars whose racing resumes aren’t quite as impressive as those who ran the tour 10 years back, and with what happened at LOS this past weekend, it looks like the best days of the ASCS National series may very well be behind them.

Not to pile on because without ASCS you'd have large portions of the country who wouldn't see winged sprint cars race more than a couple of times per year; but I am old enough to remember this board not so many years ago where posters would tell anyone who was listening that ASCS was the future of sprint car racing and the WoO would die off once Steve and Sammy were done.

First off I'm sure that any payout change was fully approved by the ASBS series so they own that and I agree they are a joke.

Next there is all ready a series in TX the Bandits Outlaw Series that has been around for years that is a run what you brung engine series that has proven to be great. So the formula is already out there it just needs to be adopted by more groups.

that Bandit series has scheduled races at the Texas Speedway dirt track same weekend ASCS national tour is at nearby Devils Bowl, will be interesting to see how that goes

If that's the case I'm probably going to TMS.   Probably about the same distance to either place from where I live, but Devils Bowl drags the show out longer in recent years.    Devils Bowl will likely only be around another few years anyway.   The Sprint Bandits has definetly had some major success, and I think it'll be the better show.
