What a wild night of torn up equipment. Had a little bit of everything while taking almost 2 hours to complete the A Main. Was entertaining to watch but wasn't impressed with Scott Bogucki getting out his car and beating on a defenseless driver that was still strapped in his car. Confrontation is fine by me and he had a reason to be mad but it wasn't a good look. At least make it an even fight

I love the Ditch, but I turned it off and went to bed after the Bogucki incident.   I could already tell it was going to be a marathon.   Seems like it shouldn't have taken so long to clean up that accident and shouldn't have required an open red at that point.

I watched the highlights. It looked interesting but couldn't have been much fun for the racers.

Bogucki- yeah, that was was a dumb move. A guy wearing a firesuit and a full faced helmet, behind an array of steel rollbars is pretty much immune to any fool trying to throw punches. That reminded me of an on-track altercation years ago at Jackson MN. Little guy and big guy have some sort of problem. As big guy is sitting in his car during the red flag, little comes and sticks his face in big guy's cockpit and starts yelling at him. Big guy reaches out, gives little guy a bear hug and yanks him halfway into the cockpit with him. Little guy is stuck in a situation. He's screaming and kicking his feet, which are off the ground. Big guy won't let go of little guy until the officials convince him to.

Is it just an optical illusion, or is the catch fence just chain link, with people standing 10 feet away?

Nope, that's not an optical illusion.   This is not a track where you'd find me sitting on the front row.

Rocket, I'm assuming you were there?   Flo only showed the aftermath of the Bogucki incident, the crash had already happened when they got a camera on it.   They apparently don't show replays like DirtVision either.     I also noticed after the Swindell/Hahn/Covington accident that Hahn got out of his car and appeared to be running.   Did he go after someone?  Or was something else going on with him?

The announcer said when Hahns car got upside down, the hot power steering fluid leaked out and got on his face. It's why he was running out of the car to get his helmet off.

Yes indeed I was. Howard Moore threw a slider that came up short and they both crashed. Was not a smart move, but the attack afterwards was unacceptable for a professional racecar driver in my opinion.

Sh*t move by Swindell! Must have learned that one from his big brother. The track sucked. There was about a inch of cushion that was about an inch from the guardrail and the rest of the track was shiny and black. The only way to pass was to take a chance on a risky slide job. That was the main problem and the track they were at the night before was pretty much the same way. This leads me to a question. Why is it that winged sprint cars can't(or are rarely) able to run the bottom anymore? I see this at many tracks with 410 and 360 winged sprint cars. It used to be on a dry slick rubber down track, it was a train around the bottom. Now it's a train around the top even with a thin cushion right up against the rail. I don't know the answer or the solution, but they need to get these cars and tracks where they can run multiple lanes.

I thought the track was just about perfect. Wide with a cushion up on the fence. It never rubbered up and slide jobs are one of the best things about good sprint car racing. It's only a crash fest when the drivers can't execute a proper slide job from what I could see. I don't think the race would have had the same events if that were an Outlaw or All Star race

I went back to Floracing to rewatch the highlights.  The feature took 1 hour and 27 minutes.  I would have to get out for a stretch break at some point.

Completely agree.
