Tonight was a great night of racing at Jackson Motorplex .Track was in amazing condition all night long.

27 , 360 sprints found there way there. Lots of heavy hitters. But Matt Juhl was a man on a mission. After going out to qualify 1st He set a brutal pace 13.324 which to find out was a new track record.   So on the inversion Matt started 4th. Only to walk away the winner of the heat. So the redraw was announced it was going to be a revenge redraw. And of course Matt drew the number 1. ..which he gave to Elliot Amdahl. Later Justin Henderson drew and gave Matt the number 6 hole. Matt sliced and diced a number of laps with Roger Crokett. Before going after Skyler Prohaska. Finally Matt made the pass for 2nd with only a hand full of laps left. Matt tracked down the 5 of Eric Lutz but ran out of time. Only to finish 2nd. Later on after the cars went though tech..did we find out  Lutz didn't make  tech...And Matt was proclaimed the winner of the 3000 dollar prize.   Next up Is Knoxville where Matt is double classing. ..

I agree. Great racing in both classes and a beautiful night of weather and was completed by a very respectable time. All with a little drama in the tech area at the conclusion.

I am still in awe of this facility every time I walk in. Just wish it was closer to home so I could join more weekly events vs. only attending the big shows. Only gripe, they changed the pork tenderloin sandwich at the track. :-) I believe they are no longer made by the restuarant that is downtown. Kat's Hog Heaven? Oh well, the cheeseburger and cold barley pops made up for it!

Rumblings in the pits at Husets were that Lutz was pumped at 383 CID.

A lot of grumbling that this had been going on at MSTS races for quite some time.

Only 16 MSTS 360s Saturday night at Hartford.

From what I hear there might be a few other 383 out there and if you listen close you can tell the difference           Glen Murra
