Looks like another great crowd for speedweek nite number 4 at Lincoln to bad the fans will be lucky to see any one advance positions as the track looks terrible and they are only in the heat races.

Robbie Kendall gave zero f***'s who Kyle Larson was.  That was a great battle.

You called it correctly. Another winner from the front row.

Winners from the front row is usually the normal in sprint car racing and this feature was better than I anticipated but only DD and Larsen did any passing

Freakin Kendall! I'm buyin a shirt after that performance. As far as the track, tough day in PA allmost 100 degrees. Top n bottom were working. Middle not so much. On a dirt scale 1 to 5 a solid 4. Thanks Fred.

Are we gonna pin a medal on the 55 for blatantly driving through the back of Gerard McIntyre and spinning him out?

I think you are being a bit dramatic. I was there to witness it, yes there was contact but hardly driving through someone. Robbie had a fast car.

Well said.  Frankly sick of Kyle Larson, Bell and company coming to cherry pick all the big money races from the locals, very bad for the sport in my opinion.  It's kind of like major league baseball players coming back to play little league.  Sure it's fun for the big leaguer, but hardly an even playing field.  Weekly 410 racers were having a hard enough time keeping a car on the track before the Nascar crowd started coming in to compete in all the local racing crown jewels.  Not taking anything away from Larson, the guy is an amazing talent... best I've seen.  Just trying to look at the big picture and long term well being of the sport.

Track conditions were very good again for the feature.  Winner from front row last night had nothiing to do with who won.  The stupid way they line up for the features during Speedweek is the reason.  No sure what is the correct way but I personally do not like redrawing for starting spots.  It all starts with the way they line up the heat races.  Fast qualifiers needs to work harder to qualify.  The dont have to pass a single car to qualify for feature.  Great job again Fred Putney.  Also KUDOS to Lincoln for not having any support divisions during a week night show.  Was over by 10pm. and home before 11pm.

No different than than the 69K cherry picking high paying races.

So what's the answer then, ban him from racing sprint cars or lms? I'll bet the track promoters love having him show up with the extra fans and attention he brings = $. If your locals are so good (Posse or anywhere else), then they should have no problem beating him, as proven by Robbie Kendall last night.

Also, as was just pointed out, doesn't get the 69k do the same thing?

Good to know I have at least one friend on here.

An amazing talent ....a gasser....neat to watch him blast around the outside but struggle with him taking probably close to $200K in the last year from guys that really need it.

No different than Wolfgang coming into PA in the 80s with Weikert and a car that could have won multiple WoO championships likely, but ran alot in PA. I'm sure people bitched then, and now people are starting to bitch about Larson.

The comment about major league versus little league is nonsense. There's alot of very talented drivers in PA sprint cars, and most have pretty good equipment. Larson is a world class talent no doubt, better than the rest, but it's not Michael Jordan coming in to play against a high school team.

I agree especially with the track promoter side of things. I got to see him race a lot here in the Ohio area last year and the boost in crowd attendance was something I am sure that the promoters enjoy. Even the races prior to last year you could tell a difference in crowd size so I would say he does more good than harm to the sport. I wouldn't call it cherry picking as I think people using that term actually does more harm to sprint car racing than Larson actually racing. Makes it sound lower level/beginner/not as good as the big money bodies like Nascar or Indycar. While Larson at times does make it look easy sometimes, it is not walk in the park for him to win as most of the time he has to earn the win. I don't consider sprint car racing a lower level of racing, just another form so I have no problem with him showing up to any track to race.

I also recall a time not too long ago the whole joke was that Larson had won everywhere except Central PA and only real racers could win there. Now a few years later you have a few starting to say now he is taking the money from the locals who need it. I am starting to enjoy the flipping of sorts that I am seeing in some fanbases with Larson and even Sweet on the outlaw side. Used to be 99% of fans cheered Larson, now they are griping about him winning too much when I thought that was the goal for every racer every race

Agree on all points, especially calling it 'cherry picking', just adds to the typical NASCAR fan BS argument last year about Larson winning 46 times on dirt and calling that easy because dirt isn't professional.

I believe more fans last night because Larson and Bell were coming mostly Nascar as I saw more 5 shirts than 57. There were good crowds prior to them showing as well.

Track was just OK. Not a great race except for Kendall and Larson but OK at best.

I do appreciate the track on a weeknight keeping the show moving, and one division. I am all for that during the week and big shows. When you have kids that want to meet drivers early nights sure help.

Passing on tonight though alittle steep and again wish only one division. Also don't want to bring half the track back to my car. Still can't figure out how to make the track less dirt and dust. Last year could not even see the cars into turn 1 and two for the dirt.  Wish all the drivers good luck tonight. Been a good speedweek so far. If any promoters read these. Keep the show moving as kids are the future and can't always hang with the adults. Specials shows do not need extra divisions. Kudos to Lincoln last night!

Bad for the sport they are drawing new and more people to tracks that would otherwise not have went? Yeah that's not bad at all.

So you don't think more eyes on the sport is good for it? You don't think sponsors will be willing to spend more if they know more eyes are watching? You don't think increased attendance at tracks and viewers online help track promoters pay more, or at least maintain and stay in business? I see it the opposite. The more revenue and funding that becomes available the more tracks can pay and the more racers can get from sponsors. I don't see how that's a bad thing for the long term well being of the sport.

You do make some valid points, but have you been to the dirt tracks to see who those new eyes belong to? Sure does make you shake your head sometimes and is one reason I don't care if I go to the Wednesday race.
