How did they decide who goes?

Ryan Taylor? No disrespect, but there are plenty of more successful drivers that deserve to be there.

Few of the PA guys were willing to go. Ryan and crew had made a plan and booked a trip to Bristol before they made it invite only. Therefore, a big name PA track vouched for him as their representative and he was given the green light. And he qualified for the A tonight! Great job Ryan

Do I read it correctly that only 28 showed up? That's a let down.

He was, but they said during time trials that he did not have an official lap.   They said he was "under the weather" so I hope he's OK.

Looking at the field of drivers in attendance, I'd say not many local teams from around the country wanted to go.

Was wondering why there was such a low car count not just the sprint cars

but late models too. They knew it was a horsepower track before they sent

their entry in.  Did the track want a cut of drivers merchandise sales?  I heard

no fans in the pits so they couldn't sell from the trailer.

And they say it's going to happen again next year. WHY ?  To me the whole deal was a snoozefest.  I think North Wilkesboro is the track that should be covered with dirt. Racing, I believe would be much better.

The following is how I imagine it went down:

"Hello, is this David Gravel's team?"

"Yes, I'm his secretary for right now. How may I direct your call?"

"Congratulations! The committee has decided you can come race at Bristol next weekend!"

I doubt there was a phone call foe any WoO teams. It in the schedule. Be there. Period.
