That west coast deal is tuff on teams. California being on a upswing it was the best thing to do.

With a lot of the tracks out her unsure if or when they can run and with or without spectators it's the smart thing to do.  I expect this season will be as confusing as last year.  Our cars will be ready for the tentative schedules we have but we're not optimistic as to how many races we'll actually be allowed to run or under what format.  It'll still be better than nothing, I guess.

i was relieved to see lincoln postpone the icebreaker.  probably more weather than covid related but gives things another week to cool off covid wise.  i do think they should try to race.  this is completely arbitrary...which a lot of this is going to be during the pandemic...but i feel like march when weather should be a bit warmer and new cases under 1,000 would be ideal.  that's where we were in the summer.  it would be even better if people wore masks.

Wooooooo Hooooooooo !!!!!!!   A  C-word thread, man its been a while, I was starting to go through withdrawal symptoms. Hopefully all of the wannabe doctors and scientists can contain this to one thread. I'm not holding my breathe though considering the way people acted last year.

If you don't want to go to the races stay home. Wear a mask if you want. otherwise stfu and let people live their lives the way they want to. Not the way you think they should.

Florida has no state restrictions.  Based on John Hopkins medical study, there are 35 states that have more issues since inception than does Florida based on % of population.    If you look closely,  some states with everything shut down at best are equal in stats to florida with some being worst.  Since Volusia, no outbreaks.  Two weeks later, we would should be seeing signs if it were and issue.  Just my opinion.  Old, gray and maskless............

It still hasn't sunk in that you can spread the virus to OTHER PEOPLE

All your attempted show of bravery means is that you don't give a shit about anyone else

Now YOU can STFU!!!! Smile

Can't get it from me anymore.  Ran through my house like the plague.  I have the golden ticket now! wink   My wife got the worst of it as she felt like total garbage for 3-4 weeks.   Mine felt like a 10-14 day hangover with the addition of loss of taste and smell.  Kid's cases were relatively mild.

Maybe John Hopkins puts out bad info.  Facts like Florida compared to California on a per/100k rating don't matter?  I don't think so.

Covid had nothing to do with Lincoln canceling. PA tracks will run as soon as the weather allows....mask free!

Better for who? You or them? I'll be hitting 60+ races this year and I won't be wearing a mask because I don't believe that they're effective in doing anything but making people touch their faces way more often than they normally would and making people like you feel better about themselves. My body, my choice.
