Would some please let Mav know that switching to 10 different camera angles on a sixth mile track not only makes the race hard to follow but gives me a headache. You can't cover this the same you do a 2 mile track. Most of it should be shown by the camera at the finish line. Also, I almost tuned out during the hour and 45 minutes we had to sit through between the B&Amain. The extensive track re-work only served to remove all character and basically ruin the first 40 laps of the race. Hate to complain but this has been going on for years and does the event a disservice.

And now you know why dirt track racing has never been popular on TV and never will be.   Basically, your choice is to watch it or turn it off.  Complaining on here isn't going to change anything.

The problem with any racing on TV with few exceptions is the unknown delays.  Accidents and track prep etc would be difficult to accommodate. Stick and ball sports have time limits etc so its easy to provide filler when necessary.

I havent watched much but I was happy with Knoxvilles coverage during delays. Nit sure who was producing it.but it was a nationals event.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

I personally think that MavTV missed a great opportunity of showing some of the preliminary features - notably watching Jason McDougal going through the alphabet, etc.   I thought the racing was much better in the preliminary features than those shown live. I watched on MavTVPlus - and they had frozen videos often.  Was it the same on MavTV?  Still - wouldn't miss the Chili Bowl.  I am just thankful that we were able to watch it on line. Thanks to floracing.com for their coverage throughout the week.  Hated to miss it in person.  And I don't think this year you had to chip the ice off of your car after the races ever.  I got to where I always take my ice scraper into the races with me.  Caught too many times with the ice scraper inside the car and couldnl't get to it to open the door.

There are now so many sites that show racing - for a fee, of course.  Who covers the World of Outlaw races?  Thanks

The new track prep guys in my opinion didn't have to redo the surface top to bottom. That took way to much time. Why Stewart was not there was surprising to me. For the beating that surface takes for 2 weeks, tulsa shoot out then the chilli bowl, 700 loads of dirt, it does amaze me. Definitely on my bucket list.

It looked like Tony was enjoying a nice wintery weekend at his Hidden Hollow ranch in southern Indiana with bad ass straight liner GF Leah Pruett.

I have been going to the Chili Bowl for quite a few years (not this year) and there has "always" been at least one bad track night even then Stewart was prepping, usually it was a bad dust bowl night.

On Saturday night there has also been horrible time gaps in the show. Live MavTV is a curse and a blessing. Sure you get more coverage, but it usually drags out the show.

IMO they should do the big rework the track after the C-mains. Show the C-mains prerecorded at the start of the MavTV coverage and only have the B's and A main live. If done smoothly you would still see the same show on MavTV. but the big track rework is mostly hidden by the C-main replays.  Maybe some hot laps before B's to work in the track a bit, and then minor track prep like on most nights before the A-main.

Cannot wait to be back in my seat in 2022.

I've always wanted to go to the Chili Bowl.  I hope to next year.  I'm going to watch every prelim night, then Saturday through the shuffle.  I'll drive back to Michigan, take a shower, and watch the rest from my recliner.  I'll be home, recovered from the flu, before the checkers fall.  Probably won't even miss any racing.
