Looks like Williams Grove is also stepping up their purses for 2021... If I'm reading this correctly the lowest winners share for 2021 will be $5,000.

Drivers And Fans Win Big At Williams Grove In 2021 As Track Gives Back

Major Purse Increases & $15 Fan Admissions Put In Place

Mechanicsburg - Along with releasing its 2021 schedule of events, Williams Grove Speedway has also announced a revamp of its regular 410 and 358 sprint car purse structures.

All Williams Grove Diamond Series races for the 410 sprint cars, of which 10 are slated, will now pay a minimum of $6,000 to the winner including 1K from a sponsor.

Yellow Breeches 500 races for 410s have bumped to $5,000 to win including 1K from a sponsor while still posting the standard $500 to start.

And Williams Grove Speedway will pay the victor of 11 other weekly races for the super sprints a total of $5,500 for the top spot, again with 1K included from a sponsor.

Williams Grove has also posted additional increases throughout all three regular sprint car purses while the 358 sprint cars will also see an increase.

And the new year will not only offer increased weekly purse structures for the sprint cars but it also offers some additional 410 sprint car shows boasting pumped up winner’s shares.

Most notably, the Friday May 28 All Stars Davey Brown Tribute event will post a cool $10,000 to win while the September 17 All Stars Dirt Classic Qualifier now pays 7K to the winner.

Those two big events now join other marquee Williams Grove specials for the 410 sprints that have long put up big money and purses including the April 6K to win Tommy Hinnershitz Classic, the July $15,000 to win Mitch Smith Memorial and the August Twin 20s.

And again in 2021 the prestigious Williams Grove National Open will be offering $75,000 to the champion while also this year offering a richer overall purse than previous versions, with the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars in the house on October 2.

Fans too will be the winners at Williams Grove next season as adult general admission prices for numerous racing programs that have been infused with cash have NOT been increased but rather decreased.

Aside from the March 14 season opener, special $15 adult admission price nights include March 26 for 410 sprints and super late models, April 23 for 410s and 358 sprints, May 21 for 410s and 358s, June 11 for 410s and 358s and July 30 for both sprint car divisions.

It makes you wonder why more wouldn't just make Central Pa your base. If you look at Bill V's website, Macri made more money than a lot of the traveling teams by dominating Port Royal. I realize he did travel some, but most of his money was made locally. If I'm Marks or Zearfoss, I would think about staying local because the money is really good.

Ok that's it I'm moving to Central Penn-siv-vain-yuh. I'm gonna buy a little shack in the hills outside of Mount Holly Springs, pick up a PA-dutch accent, watch sprint car racing and just chill.

Come for the racing if you want other than that I think I ashamed to tell anyone that I live here for the first time in my life. I do sort of think that the tracks are trying to keep our drivers here. Other than to check a bucket list item off I am not sure that it makes much economic sence to travel full time.

For what williams grove, friday, and port royal, saturday, are offering.  It's sad to say I think it's going to make teams look long and hard as to do we hit the road or spend that money on a top line crew chief/ equipment.  They race 10 months, I think this has changed the minds of guys like rahmer. There grove and lincoln regulars. Brandon gets to get behind the wheel at lincoln. Travel ? Why ? I think you see them at port royal on Saturdays.

Seems to me with the great schedule changes and increased payouts at WG and Port, Lincoln is on the hit seat. Was a weekly regular for 8 yrs, loved the place but times are changing and Lincoln isn't.  No USAC sprints or midgets, not Vacek memorial after 2 yrs. No imagination to schedule, unless they increase weekly payout they may as well add the track property to the golf course.

I hope you're wrong, racing is more interesting on a smaller track

I'm rather confident that Lincoln will be just fine.

Two words:  Alan Kreitzer

And if those two aren't enough, then try:

Mike Heffner

or

Scott Gobrecht

or

Jerry Parrish

But, Alan Kreitzer is the only two words that you need. All the other two's are just insurance - pretty good insurance at that Smile

Lincoln has been getting stale the past couple of years. I had been a weekly regular since '84, this year I only went to 5 or 6 shows. Heat races are just like hotlaps, no passing, and the features that I've seen weren't much better. They like to dick around like susky and take 5 hours to run a 2 division show. I can only hope that they have 60+ legend cars every week in 2021, maybe some mud bogs and tractor pulls ( that was sarcasm there). I'm still waiting on my application for my reserved seat renewal, yep lincoln is on the ball. Guess I'll be driving a little farther on most Saturdays now.

Lincoln has been pretty overrated for a while in my opinion. I know others swear by the place.

They had a ridiculous schedule in 2020 with all kinds of big paying races, but most of them were snoozers. The track is still capable of producing excellent racing, but more often than not, when it's a one division time trial show, the track is gone a third of the way through the A main.

I saw great races at Port, Williams Grove and Lincoln last season. I also saw "bad" (I personally don't think there's such a thing as a bad night at a race track as long as on one gets hurt) races at Port, Williams Grove and Lincoln. All 3 tracks provide a good night of racing 90% of the time. Here's an idea, instead of looking like a bunch of spoiled rotten children to the rest of the sprint car community, let's be happy to have more sprint car racing at our fingertips than any other region in the world not to mention, a very healthy fendered scene for the people who are into that type of thing. We have more WoO shows than any other state, Williams Grove has more than any other track & we are practically a second home for the All Stars. We just had the best speedweek we'd seen in years and while most other tracks in the country are kissing the governments ass, ours decided to open up and go racing. And if you can't make it in person or would rather not take your chances with the virus, all 3 provide great options for pay per view streaming. None of the tracks are perfect but they're all pretty damn good and better than what most people across the country have.

Agree, not all races are going to be barn burners. I've seen my share of less than exciting features at Lincoln. Having said that, this years Gobrech Memorial with Dietrich getting the late race win over Larson and Dewease was as good as it gets!
