interesting exhange after the lincoln race.  dietrich in victory lane immediately said he didn't care about the championship even though he brought it up unprovoked.  rahmer said dietrich cared about points at the grove until he got his ass handed to him.  terrific rivalry...but i worry about freddie's safety messing with a guy who will punch another driver while he's sitting upset down.  i don't think dietrich has any respect for his competition and should be racing something with fenders on it.  he looked great running at lincoln with the field split to port but was a no show in all the big races this summer except the early part of speedweek.

i will say central pa sprint car racing needs this.  with montieth leaving the 21 and all the run around with the 72 and 39...nothing seems stable anymore and things are clearly in major transition.  fan support certainly still seems to be there.  you wonder how much will be left next year if the 57 bandwagon isn't pulling in almost every week though.

I'm glad Freddie called him on it. What Freddie said was 100% a fact. I remember a press release where Danny stated in his own words that he was focusing on the track titles. That's typical behavior out of him.

Nobody was punched while they were upside down. According to the guy that was upside down.

I did not hear Freddie say Dietrichs name. Was provoked by Dietrich comments I am sure and comment made but no names were mentionedby either driver. People seem to like the arrogance that Dietrich exudes. Not sure why. I believe he did punch at McMahan while he was upside down and Freddy after an incident however who was not upside down. Not a fan of Dietrich never was.

Good for Freddie to stick up for himself.

As far as the comment above about fan support and wondering if it will sustain w/o Larson, Central PA fans have been supporting sprint cars for decades and that will continue in 2021, whether it be Outlaws, All Stars or local shows with or without Larson.

Correct, no name were called out. DD was fast but man that dude just doesn't know how to be humble. Ive tried to like the guy but he just keeps sticking his foot in his mouth. Always been a Rahmer fan and I like Freddie they are just quality people.

Congrats on 2 championships this year .

If either wants to be taken seriously they need to step up their game to show that they actually can be competitive when the real names roll into town. Right now they are very good local racers but outside of PA the casual fan doesn't really know who they are.

Dietrich is just someone that looks & sounds like a dbag. Reminds me of the bully in middle school who just happened to be physically bigger than everyone so just goes around picking on others because he thinks he can whop everyone until eventually he is going to run into someone (most likely literally) who isn't going to care how big he is and will have no problem throwing down with him. No one should really take what spews out of his mouth seriously as most likely whatever he says has the opposite meaning. Just an attention seeker.

I'm not a fan of either but I do like their rivalry just for the entertainment value. It isn't an act either. They really don't like each other.  Dietrich is Dietrich and I often found myself wondering why he does some of the stuff he does whether it be in an interview or on twitter. The answer I've come up with is he just loves to see how he can provoke people particularly people he doesn't like. He loves to get them pissed off all the while he's sitting back getting a chuckle. He doesn't mind being the villian. During Dietrich's interview he swatted the hornets nest and and in Freddie's interview he was buzzing. Mission accomplished. Good thing Freddie won the points because I'm sure it would've stung to lose the points when Dietrich didn't run all the races.

The irony here is that Dietrich's drving style is very similar to Freddie's dad.

When I heard the comment by Rahmer, I thought he was talking about Brent Marks.  I know Marks had stated mid-summer that they were going to run for the Grove championship.  I don't recall Deitrich saying it but he must have at some point.
