I could tell everyone where I was, I remember when the world stopped turning. But, instead I want to share with you a story I was honored to write about Nick Guernsey. A driver at 34 Raceway, who chose to fight for our country after 9/11. He lost many brothers/sisters in combat due to a roadside IED, and received the purple heart for his heroism during this time. Upon returning state side and to sprint car racing, he used his platform to promote Hope For The Warriors, a foundation that aides veterans returning home from the military.
In dark days like today, we all need a good inspirational story to remind us why we fight so hard for our freedoms.
May all those lost 19 years ago be in peace.
