A minor gripe about the broadcast last night from DirtVision, mainly because I'm a big crybaby anyway. I didn't sign up for DirtVision because I wanted to see IMCA I-stocks. After the big delay between the last chance race and the features, is there any reason they couldn't have run the WoO feature first? A long delay in the program, then I've gotta sit through an I-stock crash fest. The sprint car feature was absolutely great though, and worth waiting on.

Yes, there was a reason. I called them and told them I was out with friends having supper and drinks and would not be home until 10:00. I walked in the door, turned on the laptop, and the feature was lined up ready to go.

They usually run the Outlaws last so that people can go into the pits right after the race. But given that's not an option anymore they probably should have run them first. I was able to watch the last Port feature on Flo during the street stock race so the evening broke my way.

I have Dirtvision and Floracing and the delays and IMCA Stock Cars helped with the timing. I watched the entire All Stars Feature, the IRA Feature and tuned into DV in time for most of the WoO Feature. Selfish of me but I loved the timing. Keep in mind that we are on central time so we are an hour earlier than Eastern. I was surfing my favorite YouTube channels by 10:30 if my foggy one coffee in memory serves me. Any night the races are done by 10:30 is considered a win in my book...
I will admit to enjoying a few IMCA Stock Car Features at Jackson before it became the Motorplex and Arlington. They are usually pretty evenly matched and put on some entertaining races. When I started watching the old wingless cageless Sprints in 1960 they weren't the 15 second rockets on a half mile we see today but closer in speed to todays IMCA Stock Cars. I'm not a speed freak and show a little love to all the classes on the program.

I do wonder if them doing track work before the features was part of the decision so they had the IMCAs essentially able to run the track in before the Outlaws.

I probably should have done that. On a regular Saturday I would have tuned in to Knoxville. I think they were running Attica last night, so probably should have checked that out.

That was what I was thinking, although I don't remember the lineup of events that is normally posted. I usually look at it to kind of coordinate what I can flip back & forth to.
I did like the announcement of if they had 1 more caution it would go to a GWC. Could have made that decision earlier but at least it was made. I also like the rule some tracks make where it's X amount of green flag laps or 15-20 mins

I'm guessing the tracks make the schedule & not DV? Stock cars are probably one of their regular features & attract loyal fans

I believe they are a regular division after listening to the winner interview. Although I couldn't help but laugh hearing the cheers of the crowd when they announced the GWC rule so apparently they were as happy as the non locals to get the thing over with

They need a support class to fill in between Outlaw races and it helps pad the back gate. Fans from other parts of the country should understand that there isn't a whole helluva lot of Sprint Car racing in the upper Midwest aside from Grand Forks and Husets and any of those with a 410 ran with the Outlaws. There are some more limited Sprint classes but I don't believe there is anything close to the Fargo area. The Stock Cars are usually less painful to watch than the B Mods which are more often than not lap and spin.

I think if you have enough cars for 4 heats, you probably don't need a support class. But most areas of the country can't pull that many 410s, so you need a support class. Ideally a support class 1) doesn't take too much time, 2) widens the track out and doesn't wear the track out, and 3) is entertaining.
I would argue alot of support classes actually accomplish this. The street stocks at Fargo did not.
