OK, I'm going to stay with the topic. I read on the ever faithful internet that Pittman, Kinser , and Paul Mcmahn(sp) are cleared and ready to race after testing positive and having symptoms. I think the China virus affects most people about as much as the normal flu..Some people handle these bugs better than others and a choice of lifestyle has a lot to do with it, remember eat healthy, take care of yourself, watch your risks and die anyway.

Reason I mentioned news and not trusting those numbers, is I have a friend in florida(told this on here before I think) who waited in line to get tested, got tired of waiting and went home. Got a positive result in the mail after not being tested. And the coroner who said a person who was listed as a covid death died in a drunk driving accident.

Everyone suddenly knows someone who was in line to get a covid test, left to go home, and got a positive result in the mail. I have heard that one now 50 times. Also, everyone knows someone who died from a drunk driving wreck and an infected ingrown toenail, a work accident, and a blimp accident, and got listed as covid. This is getting so old. Go on and live your life, but quit with the bogus stories.

+1
I've taken two tests and got the negative results back in less than 24 hours.

Kim Reynolds literally has the lowest approval rating of any US Governor for handling the pandemic.
Iowa has had more cases per capita than Illinois, despite it containing the third largest city in the US where the population density is way more conducive to a virus spreading.
The only reason the raw numbers aren't there yet is because Iowa is so sparcely populated, but that's starting to change as it's starting to creep to the rural areas where people haven't done shit for mitigation. 23 of 99 counties currently have a rolling 14-day positivity percentage of greater than 10%.
It seems that not only is your attitude towards this thing completely wrong, but you're also grossly misinformed.

Well done, but as we've learned, it's usually for naught.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

I hate it when coroners do that.

Not saying it's a hoax, but I don't believe the death numbers as the mass media is reporting. H1N1, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Influenza A/B....take your pick. Theyre all airborne illnesses that were/are glossed over at best, even this latest flu season that was one of the worst one in recent years that killed an estimated 50,000 Americans. Where was the panic reporting over that, where were the mask mandates then, where was the political volleyball on who is to blame? The shutdown was supposed to eliminate hospitals from being overrun and after NY's dismal handling of cases which is documented btw, we haven't seen that issue anywhere else. And, I have first-hand knowledge from a nurse that spent 6 weeks in NYC of the absolute idiocy that went on there. Death rates have fallen in proportion to related illness versus Covid-19....just a coincidence? Unless I'm so out of touch, most elective surgeries aren't performed in a hospital are they?

Here's a question I've always had in regards to mass media and their supposed misreported numbers. Every broadcast and/or publication worth a damn is always citing someone - typically a state government reporting website or other reputable entity such as the CDC, Hopkins, etc.
How can you question that? It's like the people who used to raise hell with our local paper based on crime reports - the reporters were literally reiterating what the local law enforcement had released.
They typically aren't pulling these numbers out of thin air. Some might twist and interpret (ie: KNIA/KRLS calling a jump from 5 to 8 a 60% increase according to someone in this post or another) but a good rule of thumb is to never trust local radio. They put no effort into doing any legwork, typically just regurgitating reporting done by actual journalists.
