Two wrecks in 3 Nights has left Schatz with Top wing out of all the spares left in the truck .

And being 2000 miles from his Australian Base .It has been decided to call it quits until he returns 26 Dec

I bet Saldana is shakin his head wandering how that could not happen for the last 2 months in the states. Surely Schatz didn't quit because of lack of equipment.........as much money as the guy won this year he coulda just bought some from a team or business down there............

Psychologically, I bet at least a small percent of the crashes had to deal with Donny trying to be some what conservative, for the last 2 months. Donny wants to race and to pass people. Sometimes conservative racing is just not fun, because you can't go for moves you want to try, and have the rush of passing someone (IE racing). conservative you have to just go for top 5 and a win if it comes to you.

It is racing, Some guys get wins by being Conservative and some get wins buy lead footing it to the front. That is why I have always been HAUD fan.

Every once in a while a driver wants to try the 'other.'

Too bad for Schatz. I am not a fan but he should stay in Aussie territory. Though guys like Donny and a few others have not had many days off to have a LOOONG vacation in years. Between racing here 9 months and in Australia 2 months, a year.

It is hard for drivers to take vacations. I am sure Jac has never been to the Wisconsin Dells in the middle of July. Or I bet Steve Kinser has not ever seen the Mexico in March. I wonder if Sammy has ever got to see June fishing in Canada. Very limited on the types and places of vacations they go.
