Just got home from night #7 at Hagerstown Speedway.  Now that is sprint car racing.  High speed, pretty much flat out with plenty of passing multiple lanes and little to no dust!  Walked across the track after the feature and still had moisture in it from top to bottom.

Watched last night on Flo. Looked to be a  excellent crowd. Maybe too good. Track just released a statement they are now closed due to the virus. Question is will they be the first of many.

I bet PA tracks will be shut down next. Crowds have been exceptionally large and packed in. Very little to no social distancing or masks. Now masks mandatory in PA and tracks will not enforce. Sad for all racing fans. Tracks and fans will be to blame.

looks like hagerstown got shut down.  one of the comments on facebook was "take your money and run" which is exactly what pa speedweeks is doing.  they blocked me on twitter just for asking people to wear masks.

I've been wondering about that myself...

But but but, the top 8 in qualifying started 1-8. The fast qualifier started on the pole. I thought it was impossible for racing to be good under those circumstances?

Just in case no one noticed, I'm laying the sarcasm on pretty thick right here

Again I am 1000+ miles away and haven't ever been to any PA tracks so if my question is too stupid don't beat me up too bad. I have been to Hagerstown for a WoO race 22 years ago won by Mark Kinser.

Does the ASCoC always not schedule races during PA Speedweek to allow their stars to attend those races OR is this a byproduct of track closures this year due to Covid-19?

Typically they will have some on the weekends but not during the whole week. The races that the All Stars are racing this weekend were previously scheduled. Typically a couple will run some of the races during the weekdays of PA speedweek
