FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE PAS CLOSES 2007 SEASON SATURDAY WITH SPRINT CARS AND LATE MODELS AT THE JACK KINDOLL CLASSIC AND THE GLENN HOWARD TROPHY DASH!

(NOVEMBER 13, PERRIS, CA) The Perris Auto Speedway 2007 season will come to a close this Saturday night, November 17th, with the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply, and the Art's Concrete Pumping Extreme Late Models at the Annual Jack Kindoll Classic. Adult fans who bring a new, in the package toy valued at $5.00 or more for the track's Annual Christmas Toy Drive will save $6.00 off their ticket price. It will also be Fan Appreciation Night with prizes for the fans being given away all night long. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM.

Saturday's show will allow fans to salute newly crowned Lucas Oil USAC/CRA champion Tony Jones of Norco, California. The affable 37-year old sewed up his first sprint car points championship last Saturday night at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix after a hard fought battle with Temecula, California's Mike Spencer. Heading into Saturday's race, Jones leads Spencer by 76 points in the championship standings. The maximum Spencer could pick up is 74 points, which would leave him two points shy even is Jones decided to stay home. Saturday's season ending main event will be 40-laps and honors the memory of multi-time CRA car owner champion Jack Kindoll.

While Jones has the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA title sewed up, the fight for the crown in the Art's Concrete Pumping Extreme Late Models is still up for grabs. Cathedral City, California star Art Peterson is poised to become the first ever three-time champion (2005 Champ Trucks & 2006 Late Models) in PASSCAR history. However, with double points available, the championship will be decided in the main event. Marina Del Rey, California Harley-Davidson dealer Bill Bartels is currently ranked second in the standings only 29 points behind former off-road star Peterson. The only other driver with a mathematical chance of catching Peterson is third place in the standings "Kid Harley," Nick Bartels of El Segundo, California. The grandson of Bill Bartels, Nick is 83 points behind Peterson and 54 points behind his grandpa.

Popular Perris Auto Speedway infield announcer Chris Holt has put together a fabulous Salute To Glenn Howard Three-Lap Trophy Dash for Saturday's four fastest qualifiers in the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Series. The purse for the three-lap race stands at more than $1,600.00 as this release went to press with the winner of the less than one-minute contest pocketing more than $800.00.

" Glenn Howard, who was always for the "little guy," will be honored in a big way during this years Jack Kindoll Classic," Holt said of his longtime friend. "Chances are high that the top four drivers in time trials have at one time or another been under the guidance of this year's namesake to the season ending 3 lap trophy dash. Glenn is regarded highly by the racing community as one of the king pins that built sprint car racing to the level it has achieved. His name ranks high on the list of promoters, driver and car owner champions as well as officials that have made significant contributions to our sport, which will make this an emotional event as well."

In addition to the trophy dash for the Sprint Cars, there will be a trophy dash for the Late Models (details on the Late Model Trophy Dash are not complete) and the fastest qualifier for the Late Models will pocket $200.00 from Hixson Backhoe.

Be sure to make your plans to be on hand for the final race of the 2007 campaign at The PAS. It will feature care shown by the fans, race teams and officials for underprivileged kids, gifts for some lucky fans, the best Sprint Car & Late Model racing on the West Coast and what has become a PAS tradition, Christmas music over the track's 60,000 watt digital sound system.
