I just subscribed to Flo a few days ago, I hope this means I get all the Speedshift content now.

Big news! Will be interesting to see how the subscription fees pan out, especially since I already have a yearly with each.

Fingers crossed Chet will remain in the announcers booth, he is one of my favorites to listen to with the play by play.

Probably putting the cart before the horse here.....but, with the merger, one perhaps would get the content from both providers (for whatever fee)....what then would we get to see? All Stars, USAC, Lincoln, what else?

With FLO I believe they already had All Stars and USAC this year plus some other racing content from various tracks. Looking at the Speed Shift schedule, it appears they had tracks such as Port Royal, Lincoln, 141 Speedway, Kokomo, Jackson, etc. Not sure how the content worked if All Stars or USAC raced at those tracks. Not sure how the content or subscription fee will work out though as I haven't really read too much detail of the plan.

Interesting though because Speedshift as one point did have the All Stars & USAC as well but both went over to FLO. Not sure what that company offered but must have been better. 3-4 years ago Speedshift was a pretty good bargin as well but it seems to have gone down the same path as The Cushion did where they had All Stars, Knoxville, PA, KWS, etc and now I am not sure if they are around anymore. I don't have FLO currently but I have considered it as it is a pretty good bargin. So far I only subscribe to Dirtvision as I have been perfectly satisfied with that product & do not really want to do too much back and forth to other streaming services. It is great to have both of the options and really I am sure anyone will be satisfied no matter which one they choose

Flo Racing Acquires Speedshift TV

at an early age I figured out that more was better.  Not in everything but clearly in most.  I once had 3 TV stations.  Now I have over 100.  The shows are not any better but at least I have options (including the off button).   The last week or so with the All Stars on a major swing and the Outlaws running both weekends may have been the high water mark of my time as a fan..  From Pa. to Iowa to Louisanna and then to California and I had a front row seat..  At least I'm thankful for that...

Now one is gone... that can't be good for me can it ??

No offence to Johnny or Blake but if I was in charge of Flo, rule one would be to put Haley Shanley front and center whenever possible....   and I hope it works cause for me... this on line seat is the best invention since the V8...

According to the press release the Speed Shift content will migrate to Floracing effective 6/27.  Flo already has great content with the All Stars, USAC and the IRA and I appreciate them making apps for popular platforms such as Roku available.  I'm presuming that the annual Floracing (and Flo Sports) subscription of $150 plus tax will cover the added content.  Speed Shift I believe is still the PPV service covering Cedar Lake and they are affiliated with Jackson Motorplex as well and those are great additions.

I made the commitment due to age and health to forgo live racing this season and watch everything on PPV.  As a part of that decision I purchased a eero mesh wifi system and installed it in my home so as to get a solid connection to Dirtvision.  Between Floracing and Dirtvision once tracks started opening and the PPV started adding content it's been like zero to 200 mph in a few short weeks.  There are multiple choices almost every night of the week between the two PPV services and NASCAR's midweek racing added to those choices.  I've been chasing races for sixty years so I've inhaled my share of spent methanol and wiped a lot of dust off my beers when I was still drinking so I'm set with those aspects of watching live racing enough for two lifetimes.  The timing of this much affordable PPV and me at an age where the late night drives are more of a hassle converged perfectly.  Aside from one or two must attend events the PPV suits me fine and I'm a happy camper.

And for those who recall my rant last year about getting charged when I thought I cancelled I allowed Dirtvision to auto renew and got an email reminder when it came up for renewal.  I appreciate that Dirtvision has added the monthly reminders.  It's a great time to be a dirt track fan.

From a content variety standpoint, Flo was #1 before this but now they've extended their lead.

From a content quality standponit, I still think DV is hard to beat. WoO SC + LM, Knoxville, WG and Attica is more than enough racing to keep my weekend nights full.

I have both and Flo has typically only seen background duty unless a weeknight show with no competition.

I have the same thing as you and have run into the same problem.  Both not only have conflicting races when compared to the other but both typically offer mulitiple races on each channel, especially on the weekends.  When I have to decide for example between an IRA race, an All Star race, USAC Sprints on Flo and WoO Sprints and Late Models along with Knoxville weekly it blows my mind.  Now with the aquisition of Speed Shift content which carried Jackson Motorplex and Cedar Lake weekly the last time I had them it's going to even more difficult.  My solution is to flip between them and try to catch as much of two or three favorites as possible.  Many nights I have been able to watch most of at least two Features and check in on others.  I never was in a position to be one of those 150 races per season race chasers, too much travel and expense, but I can easily do that many races at night after the yard work is done on PPV.  It's an awesome time to be a Sprint Car fan, we finally have the kind of access that fans of all other sports have taken for granted for decades.  I'm happier than a beaver with a new tree right now.

Speedshift covers some of the Cali bullrings also.  I think they have Marysville weekly.  Watched one on there a couple weeks ago from that track that was enjoyable.  Just have a hard time staying up that late!!

You're crazy. $150 a year for over 800 races per year as well as the other platforms they carry is a bargain. If you can't afford it out of the gate, have some discipline and save for a few months. Its well worth it. Going to a per race or monthly rate would drastically raise the total cost.

Dirtvision could be considered the "industry leader" from a content standpoint due to their affiliation with the World of Outlaws.  Ironically many of the services lower in the pecking order make the most popular apps available but the industry leader is not a leader so far in that respect.  Specifically they do not support Roku and several other popular platforms that are sold by all of the big box stores.

My Roku TV is hard wired to Ethernet so I had to get a Fire Stick for Dirtvision and just spend $200 on a whole house wifi mesh system yesterday that would not have been necessary if (a) Dirtvision included a Roku app or (b) Roku would add a browser capable of streaming video.  I've got fast reliable wifi until I get on the other side of the furnace and duct work and it dropped from 100 Mbps to something like 0.61 Mbps at times (usually in the middle of an A Main).  I tried two of those plugin type wifi extenders and they were both junk but the eero wifi system covers up to 5000 square feet and took care of the dead spots and gave me the speed I need to satisfy my need for speed.  All is right with the world now and I'm ready for anything PPV can throw at me.  wink

I wonder what they will do for the customers that have both Flo and Speedshift subscriptions.

I believe that Speed Shift is still single race or monthly and flo is for a whole year.  They will work something out for anyone who has value remaing on their SS monthly, probably full access to Flo and renew for a year when it expires.

Stan.. another thread gave me the solution to that... Last week I had 3 different windows open with live races...  It was 1030PM and sadly I was running out of gas if you get my drift....   With flo,  its all there the almost right away for replay.  That is a big big up over dirt vision and the 3 minute recap that they provide.   So, next morning, with my coffee my and Flo wend to Texas and then Marysville and I just skipped through the dead time, watched the heats, feature and everything I felt like someone had made me king for a day.... also, remember with Flo, sometimes you have to scroll up, not down.. they are unique in that way

DNQ,

DirtVision now allows you to watch the full replay the next morning.    From the main webpage, go to Exclusive.    They just added that feature a couple weeks ago.     It is much nicer to watch the whole race replay rather than the 3 minute recap.

I was already satisfied with Flo-Racing and now they have added more local races.    I think the annual pass is a great bargain at $150/year.
