The second TV show of the year at another SMI dirt track. Such great facilities to watch and do TV from. This was a production by Wheeler TV. I have worked with this group of people since I got involved with putting highlights of sprint car races on TV. Their parent company was World Sports. They produced MotorWeek Illustrated, NASCAR on WTBS, IMSA races and CART races along with HIDDEN HEROES and Neil Bonnett's WINNERS. This was a great race with a lot of action and drama.

Hard for me to imagine the differences between the dirt tracks at Charlotte and TMS given that they're owned by the same people.  Charlotte has kept the WoO around and turned the World Finals into a major event.   Meanwhile TMS dropped the WoO years ago.   Of course Devils Bowl did too.   I know why Devils Bowl dropped them, but not TMS.   So for years there was no WoO racing anywhere around the D/FW metroplex.    I do wish TMS would bring them back.   Then I'd have another chance to see them in my own area.

Eddie does not want to pay the big WoO sanctioning fee.  Same amount of people, more cars and profit with ASCS and a bunch of modifieds.

5 miles from TMS and I always go across the city to the WoO shows at Devils Bowl.

Yes, the sanctioning fee was why Lanny dropped the WoO years ago or so I heard.   Pretty sure the only reason the WoO is back at Devils Bowl is because they lease the track for the event.  Whatever works though, I am glad they're back in the area.
