"rumor mill" says that Husets is gonna pay $3000 to win and $500 to start the feature next summer.
Who do you think might be racing there that hadn't been in previous years due to the payout?

If they also change the format back to time trials, I think these changes would attract a lot more cars.

I may be wrong here, but didn't they used to pay $ 3,000 to win back in the mid 90's?

No.
It's been $2000 to win for at least the last 15 years

How much does Knoxville pay on the weekly show? R u sure Huset's pays 2000? That seems high.

Knoxville pays 3000 to win weekly show. Huset's does pay 2000 to win, 1200 for second.

McCarl just extended his contract with big game tree stands with a two year deal to run with the outlaws. with dobmeir taking the volcanoe joe's 2 i'd like to see sowald in dobmeier's 13 running knoxville and husets

Where did you hear that Mark is driving the Volcano Joe's #2 next year? Is that car even racing in 2008?

How many more would that really bring? Outside opinion but not many - maybe just 6 or 7......but then again what is Husets averaging for a weekly count in 410's and 360's?

I'm guessing and hoping at least 10 more cars on a weekly basis?
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

It wouldn't take 10 more cars, maybe 3-5 quality cars would be a big improvement over the last few years. The extra money in the purse is what it's going to take. The fuel alone to run from Knoxville to Husets will eat up any extra money that's put up. It takes about 100-120 gallons of diesel for the round trip.

I would think there are some other cars they could pull from the Dakotas and Nebraska areas as well.
What tracks run sprints on Sundays in that area? or maybe a better question would be what other tracks or series "draw some away" from Huset's so to speak?

McCarl's sponsorship wasn't offered so he can run Knoxville and Husets. Sponsors want exposure. McCarl will be with the outlaws. On that note, Dollansky just secured brand new sponsorship as well. That sounds to me as a sign that he will be on the road. I believe Lasoski will still be in the Roth #83. Madsen is a real possibility. Maybe Dion Hindi will stay at Knoxville? I would look for Solwold to move back to the Pacific Northwest, and maybe run Skagit if he doesn't find a new ride to run the Outlaw Tour. Now that he doesn't drive for Carnahan, he has no ties with the northern plains region. I'm skeptical about that info on Mark Dobmeier. If the 2 even ran the outlaw tour next year I would assume that Tatnell would be back in the car unless he found something else. And after Dobmeier's performance in his first stint in the 2, I don't know. Not saying he can't drive, but he didn't show it when he really needed to at Clay County.

Tatnell WILL not be in the 2 next year, he may be driving his ausy ride with the toyota sponsorship up here in the us next year. T-mac may be on the circuit but they won't know til knoxville next spring to know for sure if they have enough funding to countinue.

Where are you getting your info? I don't think funding's the issue.
