JAH is right, leave it alone. From the few names that were mentioned, sounds like it will be a good show. $150 entry fee for sprint car drivers is kind of steep, no matter what the payout is, just what a couple of drivers told me. If it were held the week after STN then cars would have more than likely stayed around and jogged on over.
Plus, it is mid-November and sprint car racing has never kept racing in these parts this late in the year.
It is what it is and nothing anybody says can change that.

30 cars is still plenty for good racing. I think sometimes you get alot of cars and the races can drag on too long. Anymore the promoters make the track so sloppy or heavy for the heats to keep it good for the feature. I can only watch so many heats of follow the leader before I get bored(even with sprint cars).

I agree with that. like ascs heat races at sfs......they can be pretty boring.
Wasn't sayin it wouldn't be good race - and whereas the car count was expected to be higher - that sure as hell ain't cowtown's fault or anyone else for that matter. champsprint50 said it best - this time of year most everyone is done racing and takin stuff apart. If the car count reflected the amount of effort dmantx put into everything - they'd have 80. but no nothin wrong with 30.........only psted the top because I think it came as a suprise to a lot of people.
as for the show - sucks I wanted to go - been lookin forward to it all week. but at 20$ and 3 1/2 hour drive - thats money I'm gonna need for chili bowl tickets. though it is the last race of the year - gotta make sure to make the chili bowl.

had to make sure the viewing options for Chili Bowl and Tulsa Shootout was secure financially. If I can swing it I'm gonna try to see both days and nights of Tulsa Shootout - and maybe see how high I can get of the cart and quad fumes.
But it was definitely a good year of racing. And the Short Track Nationals was a great race to end the year on. I think hell might be goin through a climate change - because oddly enough I feel almost burned out when it comes to lengthy drives..................Of course by March of next year I'll lickin my chops to see a bunch of fendered cars at TMS while going numb from the cold.lol.

by sorry about your Buckeyes.................hehe not really. I'm sure ya'll will be happy as long as you beat Michigan. And I bet ya'll lose again...............
then again - if Baylor can put up 500 yards and 21 points on OU in Norman - Texas Tech is liable to put up 77 points and 1500 yards in Lubbock.................

I sure was hopein for a OU and a Ohio State goin at it for the National Championship.
Cody and I sure did see a bad wreck on 35 about half a mile south from the Riverwind Casino. Heard 5 people died in that crash
Next time you talk to JD ask him about his experience at Riverwind Casino.
