Do the sprint car chassis manufacturers build their own body panels? I know of IPC, TQ Fiberglass, and Acme that are building sprint car bodies, but I wasn't sure they built them for the manufacturers or whether the chassis builders did everything in house.

I'm a student studying composite materials, and along with being a sprint car fan, this has piqued my curiosity as I would like to know more about the process as well as what companies are building bodywork and composites parts for sprint car racing.

Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!

Most have their own "designs", especially hoods" that are manufactured by others. I am sure they have some sort of arrangement with the companies not to sell them to other chassis manufacturers.

Are there any companies in the Northeast/ New England region building bodies and composite components for sprint cars? I haven't yielded many results from my searches.

Last I knew, no one in NE or NY was making bodies.  PA does have multiple suppliers though.  I know its 6 plus hours, but roll it into a trip to WG and you are good to go.  In the past I have coordinated with suppliers to pick up parts at the track.

Not New England, but 717 Innovations in Dauphin, PA and TQ Fiberglass near Lewistown both make fiberglass and carbon bodies.
