I’ll be traveling thru Chillicothe, OH on Saturday and thinking about going to Atomic.  What could we expect for cars counts, especially Sprint cars and LM’s?  Anything else that would be good to know?  Thanks....

Probably around 15-20 sprints. They had a light count last week but that was with Portsmouth also running. There still is stiff competition around Ohio, Fremont, Wayne County, and Sharon all 3k to win Saturday

Tought to say for this weekend. As Kingpin2014 stated there is stiff competition across all Ohio tracks this weekend. They have been getting around 17-18 Late Models on regular weekly shows from what I have seen on Facebook. Sprints wise it is a OVSCA sanctioned race so they might be able to pull somemore cars because of that, but on the other hand WCS has the FAST series racing. Below are the point standing for each sanctioning body which might be able to help with who might be there. Probably will get 20 maybe more. As for anything else that would be helpful......I probably should keep quiet about that. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all I guess. I hurt someone's feelings last time & only time I was critical of them or any track. Just have an open mind & patience. Especially patience.

Oh, it is cash only to get in just so you know. Hopefully that wasn't too overly critical for some.

FAST - WCS

1.. Cole Duncan - 1122
2. Lee Jacobs - 1103
3. Justin Peck - 1095

Sounds like you're the one with hurt feelings.

It's also Atomic's Hall of Fame night, so that might take some extra time. Nick won't be there because 9 PM is his bedtime apparently.

No my feelings aren't hurt at all, just pointing out that some people can handle criticism and some can't. An no my bedtime is not 9pm lol, and I now I remember it was you that was so bent out of shape over basically the one and only time I have every been critical or "bashed" a track. Keeping in mind that all I stated were actual events that occured that night, and actual conditions that happened that were confirmed by others.

Now let me be clear. Almost every track & event I have been to I have a great time, even at Atomic. I am almost always a person that can see past certain things with a facility and even a race that some may consider "subpar." I almost always chulk it up to its better than being at work or doing nothing. Almost. I don't care if I am at a track after midnight or 1am even with my 3yr old son, heck I went to the last Waynesfield race on 7/3 that went till after 1am and thought it was a great show. The difference between the great show at Waynesfield or any show that I have left after midnight & the show I was critical of was that between the hours of 6:30-9:30 I actually saw some racing. Now I know some including yourself would say, well they had built a wall around the track and were still trying to figure out the program. That would be fair except for 1 thing. It is not the first time that they had a show that was slow and inefficent that seemed to move at a snails pace. It also was not the first time I had gone there that toilets were backed up and it was more sanitary to sit in a dumpster in Harlem than to step foot in their restroom or port a johns that are conveniently located next to the concession stand. And when I typed my remark it came after a thread on this very page about how late is too late and most people including myself said I don't care how late the event runs as long as it keeps moving. And at Atomic the event seems like it goes then stops, goes then stops, goes then stops.

Normally I can see past those things but when it happens over and over again it gets old. Then you add to the fact that when you & your friends bring it up to them in a private, nice manner, and even compliment them about the things you like but then are met with a less than friendly customer service response. Then they go on Facebook and call people that just give constructive criticism to them "haters", then no we don't have time for you anymore and we're not spending our money at your facility anymore. We tried to be nice and support them but got called haters when we brought up some small issues, apparently that is a problem. Doesn't hurt our feelings, we just stop going and will take our money elsewhere to the 6 or so tracks in our area that seem to be able to do things well. And our standards are very low. Run the program at a managable pace, and clean your place a few times.

"How to run a racetrack" by Nick. I'm sure Waynesfield's shitter will be smelling like a breath of spring tonight too. To the original poster, I hope you try Atomic tomorrow night. They have a promotor who tries his hardest, yet takes a beating for everything he does. Then people get upset when he defends himself (see above).

It's not really how to run a race track, more of common sense of running a business. I'm part owner of my wife's business and keeping things clean, neat, and organized are just simple basics. And Waynesfield, Attica, Eldora, Lima, Knoxville, etc usually have acceptable restroom standards. I don't know what your problem is but apparently people can't have simple criticisms for anything.

I hope the poster does give them a try. I hope Atomic has improved their program, that is the purpose of providing feedback even though it can be harsh & critical. And they do not have a promoter that works any more harder than any other successful track. They just do not like it when we point out things that are not up to par with other tracks in the region. The track itself is usually good and racing is good for the Sprint cars. When they are racing

We'll there it is then, when a track meets your white glove, high on my horse standards, then they are successful. Does your wife own and run a dirt track? I can list things I don't like about all the tracks you mentioned, but I put on my big boy pants and realize no track is perfect, relax, and enjoy the races. You should try it. Enjoy The Field tonight, I know I will. Gonna be a great night.

Umm where did I say I had high standards? I believe I had said I am able to see past a lot when almost all people would say conditions are subpar. If you actually would READ instead of being offended and being a jackass for the sake of being a jackass you would have understood. But you are so heartbroken that someone dare say something the slightest negative thing and what apparently is your favorite track.

And I have plenty of big boy pants and tolerate plenty. I know every track has imperfections and see past those which means something really has to bad for me to speak up. I do relax & enjoy races almost 100% of the time especially when I go with my 3yr old son who by the way doesn't want to go back to that track. Like I said, there are plenty of tracks that meet my low expectations that I will go to. It would be 1 thing if I would only go to 1 track and hate on others but I haven't. It was just 1 track over multiple occasions but that means I need full scale 5star service when I don't. You enjoy the Field, I'm not able to make it. I have a sick child I have to tend to
