Paul McMahan has been treated and released from University Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., after he suffered a hairline fracture of the right big toe on Saturday, Nov. 3. The driveline of the No. 20 TSR/Bass Pro Shops/Chevrolet machine broke during the second heat race at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway, striking McMahan's feet and ankles. He was competing in the World of Outlaws Sprint Series World Finals event.
The No. 20 machine came to a stop in turn four of the .4-mile facility and McMahan was transported for precautionary measures. Saturday's incident came after McMahan was unhurt in a scary flip during Friday night's A-main event. He will remain on crutches following Saturday's incident.
