FIERCE 'BANDITS 360C.I. SPRINT CAR RACING COMING to 105 SPEEDWAY on SATURDAY JUNE 22nd!

Cleveland, TX (06/14/19) by DarinShort.com.  Nestled just inside the border of Sam Houston National Forest is the racy ¼ mile clay oval of 105 Speedway near Cleveland, Texas. On Saturday, June 22nd at 6pm, the top 360 C.I. sprint car drivers in the region will be on hand at 105 to electrify the crowd with the running of the $2,000 to win and $300 to start ‘Liberty 25’ NCRA Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series event. This will be the first SCB ‘DARE TO BE DIFFERENT’ Tour date at 105 for 2019, the series will return on Saturday, September 21st. This event originally fell to inclement weather on April 13th.

TOP-LINE STORY HIGHLIGHTS: FANS plan to arrive early! SCB pre-race FAN FEST takes place next to the grandstand ticket window from 5:00pm-5:45pm…hot laps are early, 6pm! SCB DRIVERS: draw-in begins at 4:30pm and drivers meeting is at 4:40pm. Make sure to catch up on the 'driver race week updates' on the SCB Facebook page. Click www.105SpeedwayRacing.com for all track details and directions and visit www.SprintCarBandits.com for all series information.

:30 105 REWIND: The last time the Sprint Car Bandits were at 105 Speedway in 2018, a fantastic racing surface greeted the 24 SCB race teams for a night of exciting racing action. Scottie McDonald took command from polesitter and Washington state native Seth Bergman to score a very popular $2,000 win with the local crowd. Bergman took home $1,000 for finishing second, with popular DFW area racer John Ricketts finishing in 3rd…and happened to be competing that night with a 305C.I. engine. Reminder to area race teams: the Sprint Car Bandits series allows engine sizes of 360C.I. and lower, and all are treated in the same manner regarding draw-in, scoring and all other aspects. So, local race teams are encouraged to come join in on the fun!

RACE FANS: Make plans to arrive early at the track to take in the pre-race Sprint Car Bandits “Fierce 15” Fan Fest! It will take place directly next to the main ticket window from 5pm until about 5:45pm. There, you can meet the drivers of the Fierce 15, get selfies, purchase their 2019 t-shirt designs (get them autographed!) and get a good close look at the cars. SCB Fan Fest is an effort to help sprint car racing get back to the good ‘ol days when there was generally more fan interaction with the race teams. Back then it was common for most of the fans to go to the pits after the races to meet with the teams, and now in many cases the races at tracks don’t finish in time to make that feasible. This is an effort to fire back up that interaction by simply flipping the timing element. Pre-race Fan Fest will take place at every SCB series event in 2019.

If you’d like to get your brand new Fierce 15 driver t-shirts prior to Fan Fest, the new online store at www.SprintCarBandits.com is now open and it costs just more $3 to have your item shipped to you.

105 Speedway is located at 1288 Fostoria Road in Cleveland, TX 77328. Just take the Hwy 105 exit off I-69 in Cleveland, then head west for about 4.2 miles, then turn north once you reach Fostoria Road. The track is located up the road 1.2 miles north on the right side of the road. On race day, the track phone number is 281-592-0905. Clickwww.105SpeedwayRacing.com for the track website. The first green flag on June 22nd is slated for 6pm, so please make plans to arrive early.

FUNNY 105 FACTOID: Why is this event called the Liberty 25? Primarily because the track and Cleveland are in Liberty County, and it is paying deference to the area, its history and its residents. But not so fast! What’s entertaining, after speaking with the track owner, Jerry Brown, the county line actually runs through the pit area of the property! So, although the Liberty 25 will technically take place in Liberty County, the race car drivers come from Montgomery County to race in it! I thought everyone would get a chuckle out of this little-known 105 Speedway factoid.

RACE TEAMS: all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (up to and including 360C.I.) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track.

25-lap “Liberty 25” NCRA Sprint Car Bandits feature event payback: $2,000, $1,000, $600, $500, $400, $390, $380, $370, $360, $350, $340, $330, $320, $310, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300, $300. $100 for non-qualifiers or non-starters. No entry fee or series license or membership fee; $20 competitor nightly draw-in fee. Drivers must go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules, purse, registration (free, but required) and procedures information, located under the ‘Driver/Rules’ tab.

This is also part of the www.SmileysRacing.com 4 Pack Bonus program that awards the SCB Fierce 15 teams with added bonus money, paid out for their support of the Series in increments of each ‘4 Pack’ of SCB events completed throughout the season. More details are posted at the series website. This will be the first event in this 4-pack, which will award each of the Fierce 15 members an added bonus. Details of this next 4-pack will be posted soon. In addition, www.KoolTrikes.com will be putting up $50 to win each SCB heat race!

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for the latest in series news and where the DARE TO BE DIFFERENT Tour is headed to next. You can also reach the SCB on Facebook, atwww.Facebook.com/SprintCarBandits .
