Just a first timer Chili Bowler, looking for tickets. My wife and mother where really kind and bought my dad and i airfare, rental car, hotel, etc. They just failed to do the research that tickets may be and are proving to be hard to come by. Anyone out there have 2 extra sets for all nights, or a lead on some possibilities. Really dont want to have to go the scalper route and have to pay 3 times what the tickets are worth. Anyone, come on help a brother out. Rick

You can usually purchase a Pit Pass the day of the show if you get to the Tulsa Expo Center early. It's actually pretty cool, you can walk through the Pit area check out the Drivers and equipment which is pretty impressive, go out to the exhibits (you may want to keep your Dad away from the Cloud 9 booth. LOL). It's kind of a full access Pass. There is also limited seating on the back stretch right off turn two. They are actually good seats, close to the track. Just make sure you get there EARLY. First come first served. People have been known to duct tape blankets to the bleachers to save a spot only to have the Security (Tulsa Police) confiscate them leaving the blanket people no where to sit. All in all it is definately a sight to see, and probably the best Midget Car Racing you will ever see.
Good Luck, and Welcome to Oklahoma.
Down here we got so many ways your bound to like one of em.

Keep checking this forum--there are occasional tickets listed for sale here. A few years ago, I purchased tickets from scalpers at the front door for slightly more than face, but there are always folks gathered around selling tickets because somone couldn't make it. It will be worth the effort!!!

security ripped down the blankets?
thats f-n great. They should do that at the Short Track Nationals too. Make the hardcore REAL fans who want the best seats get there early and STAY - instead of gettin people to go tie chairs and blankets down and then head off to the bar or pub to return after hot laps. My ass was planted in them seats at 230pm fri. and sat. - and still I was only halfway up. but it was worth it - the STN kicked ass.
Thats one more thing I like about the Knoxville 360 Nationals. But then again - the 360 Nationals crowd can barely be seen in the Knoxville stands. No worry for good seats at one of the most underrated races in the nation.
But security taking down blankets fromt hose who want to have their cake and eat it to - priceless! although I imagine a healthy number of hosers here do it as well and resent that statement.

I have been tracking tickets on eaby, but still not quite desperate enough to buy 2 tickets for the price of 3. Is there anyone out there that has 2 extra sets of tickets for my dad and i? If your worried about me being a scalper, commit the tickets to me, i will pay you how ever you would like, and we will walk through the gate hand in hand on Tuesday of Chili Bowl. Just a guy looking for some tickets for his first trip to Chili Bowl.

man I wish some of us could tell you anything........but the best thing really is to just get there early each day and get the pit vouchers..........I don't know of any other ways.
I think you'd be alright if you did that though. It may not be the most conveniant........but honestly, nothing about the Chili Bowl is convenient. If you do what I did @ the Short Track Nationals this year - you'd be fine. They let folks tape down stuff at the STN - so to have a semi-decent parkin spot and semi-decent seat I got there around 230pm both friday and sat. a full 4 or 5 hours before a car ever hit the track. Just do that but with the pit vouchers - since there would be 2 of you - you could just sit there an shoot the stuff until hot laps - at Little Rock I just chatted with folks that were there early too. I thought it was cool and really fun. And better yet - they have the best race trade show at the Chili Bowl - and with that pit voucher - you could walk the pits for 3 hours and never get bored.........it's really an awesome sight. 1st time I saw it I was near speechless. And my Oklahoma buds knew why. lol.
TO EVERYONE ELSE : I have only been to 1 chili Bowl ( last years) so I can only say so much. Can everyone else here please help this guy? with details - even little ones. like if getting a pit pass when to get there to make sure they get decent seats. I mean everything - if ya'll were in this guys position........you would hope for the same kind of help. All I can say is that each day you can go the route of pit passes and the seats are still pretty good........and it's all possible. but I'm sure this guy is looking for some sure fire info so he doesn;t go all the way to Tulsa to sit in his hotel room.
better yet - Georgiared1 - email me at [email protected] and I'll try to find some stuff out for you and your pops.
How bout my fellow Oklahomans..........be hospitable and help a fella out...................

Just get there early on the first day. There will be 15-20 people out front selling tickets. We have never done this at the Chili Bowl, but we have done it at both the Knoxville Nationals and the Gold Cup. Each time we did it, we paid either face value or $5-$10 over face value. Each time, they were great seats.
Dick.

I have 2 tickets for Friday's show for sale. Sorry that is the only day I won't be able to attend. They are in section GG looking right down the bask straight. They are 9 rows up and are aisle seats. I only want face value for them($38 each). E-mail me at [email protected] if interested.
