It's interesting that your comments generally berate Democrats or liberals, but now you include a true conservative. When all politicians are sworn in, they take an oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States" first and foremost. Correct? So if I understand your above statement correctly, you are saying that the U.S. Constitution is not the law of the land and that politicians do not need to abide by it?
In my opinion, Ron Paul is the only candidate that is a conservative through-and-through. Pro-Life. Small Government. Low Taxes (how about no Federal Income tax for Washington to waste). Personal freedom. Individual responsibility.
Michigan holds its primary election February 5, 2008. I'm curious--which Republican candidate do you suggest I vote for and why?

it helps to have a sense of humor so i berate other lunatics too.
i would vote for ron Paul as head of the border partol and let him prove himself worthy there before entertaining any of his other musings. or better yet, send him to the UN and watch the feathers fly.
i have been to hear Rudy, but i am not sure he will get my endorsement...just because the talking heads on liberal news cast their votes early, doesn't mean i will follow, plenty of time to let the field explain why they are uniquely qualified for the job.
hilree is unique, but not sure that is a qualification...

sadly - I see it mostly as the greedy (majority) of the rep. party who does not like Ron Paul. And pathetically - the reason most are so quick to lambast him is that he's very unrepublican in so many ways. So in effect, most that like his way of thinking most likely will not vote republican if he's not the rep. nominee. The pathetic (again the majority) in the republican party could care less about the country or the issues at hand - all they care about is winning and/or beating Hillary Clinton. And it's hilarious that so many idiots holding that mindset actually helps her much more than it hurts her. Some are starting to finally see what I just mentioned - that they don't care about anything real - only preventing a woman from becoming president. That thought alienates even more people within the republican party who have common sense. Because it's harder to spice it up and make it look like something completely different than what it really is than most other stuff.
I'm not for Clinton - but even I can see that if she loses it will only be because she is a woman - she's much more classy or smart or - just about everything - than the 9 pathetic radical fascist republicans - Ron Paul is in fact the only decet one out of the bunch. So ironically, many have it right after all, he doesn't belong on the same stage with the other candidates. Reoublicans only want the candidate with the best chance to win - their views or policies do not matter one bit - instead the amount of money they raise is the deciding factor among "value" voters.
I do think that Edwards, Clinton, or Obama would all 3 be good presidents though (Ron Paul the best). I don't hear many argue what those 3 stand for (have heard some argument about what Clinton stands for - IRONICALLY) - but the rep. folks are so pathetic. They are more radical in debate than an islamic fundamentalist. You see Bin Laden tapes and he's all calm and stuff - so why do republican debates look like the crazy people from the local looney bin escaped and stumbled into the conference room - maybe because most of the idiots in attendance wouldn;t know the difference? The religous right are indeed nuts - especially for having such sheltered little ones.
Value Voters - nothing could be further from the truth. It's not their values that has them spending 5k a plate for their dinners - or donating millions in campaign contributions - hell no that is not their values - that is their own vested interest in their business. And hoping their guy gives em another tax break or loop. Values - what a joke.
