Per Twitter, and I'm paraphrasing, "He spent the night in the hospital and was banged up, but should have been good to be released today."

Just saw the video.....wow. That crash had several worst case scenarios. Balog getting incapacitated and spinning/flipping in front of most of the field, McCarl getting nailed from behind and driving under Balog while he was airborne and then McCarl's fuel cell being totally full and having a huge puncture causing the fuel to spill all over the place. Glad everyone made it out ok. Props to Knoxville's renowned safety crew. As always, it seemed like they were on it and knew exactly what to do. Sprint cars are among the most dangerous racecars on earth and inevitably, these things happen. When they do, you want a safety crew like Knoxville has on the scene.
