maybe this winter we should look at cutting them off. we run now-wing ,not two many teams run both.

wing supports,the 71 car had wing supports on top of his roll cage,and in the crash cardey was cut bye wing support.

I'd be interested to know how many of the USAC/CRA cars actually have them. Do they come on all chassis? I've never paid attention. Regardless, I think that the odds of such a thing happening again are quite low. I don't remember ever seeing a driver injured in that way before. Therefore I'm not sure that this warrants such a move. On the other hand, it's true that these guys never run with a wing (not counting visitors from out of town) so removing the supports probably wouldn't hurt.
I hope that David is ok. He's one of our favorites. He is a very good driver and is having a great year. He would be missed if he couldn't race.
