I am searching for answers on what is wrong with the 27? Hasnt won since the opener at the Grove and just doesnt seem to be competing for wins that often. Just a rough patch or serious problems? I have faith he will figure it out but just odd to see right now.

Finished 2nd at Susky last night...just a rough patch. As others have commented on other posts he was shaking down a new car...

Thanks for the input. I was at Susky last night..Started on pole Dewease and Montieth were just better. Hope he shakes out of it soon!

Sometimes other teams are just plain better. Being the "third" fastest car behind 69 and 21 is still a pretty good showing...but yeah he'll be fine. Just working out the kinks of a new car.

He wasn't his usual self in FLorida either. Might be an off year until he can sort it out. These things usually go in cycles,so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back by the summer.

New car as in a different brand of chassis from the xXx or just a new xXx chassis?

A term has been used in another thread that I think belongs here. Mojo. Hodnett doesn't have it right now. There could be a 1000 things that could be wrong. I don't think it's a chassis or component problem at all. They just need to find that mojo again. They aren't running terrible but they aren't running up to their standards.
Personally I wonder if Greg and company are struggling or are some of these other teams just that good right now Greg's Outlaw caliber he didn't forget how to drive. When the Outlaws roll into town that will be the test. If our boys overall fair well, then we know what the deal is, and vise versa if our guys struggle.

Greg talked in length about the ups & downs of sprint car racing today on Sprintcarunlimited.com.
By far the best show about sprint ca racing. $50 a year well worth it.

Maybe he just needs the new Ford engine to come out? I'm sure Minthess will be along to tell us that...
Greg's a Memphis boy, he'll rebound quickly. This is temporary.
