Beerhill Gang TV & PA Sprint Car Live to Team Up With Speed Shift TV for select races in 2017

Beerhill Gang TV | April 4, 2017
By: Justin Snyder

In early March, it was announced that Port Royal Speedway had partnered with Speed Shift TV to broadcast 8 premier events via Pay-Per-View during the 2017 season, beginning with the April 29th running of the Keith Kauffman Classic presented by the Artic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.

In attempt to familiarize viewers with the drivers participating in these races and the deep tradition that is Central PA racing, Speed Shift TV has partnered with Beerhill Gang TV to produce special ‘PA Sprint Car Live’ pre-race broadcasts via the Speed Shift TV Facebook page.

The PA Sprint Car Live team consisting of Earl Hoon Jr, Justin Snyder, Robert Wojcik and soundman Andy Miller, will work alongside Speed Shift TV producers to bring a unique look to the nights events prior to racing action begins at the speedway beginning with the April 29th event.

“I am very excited about what the Beerhill Gang TV guys bring to the table with the knowledge and insight they will add for our national and international viewers,” said Speed Shift TV founder and announcer Chet Christner. “Fans outside of PA may know of Central PA 410 racing, but it’s like looking through a window. Now Beerhill Gang TV is going to open the door a little more and invite them in.”

The team will use Facebook Live technology and the shows will be available free of charge to viewers prior to the nights events.

“We here at Beerhill Gang TV are very excited to be in partnership with Speed Shift TV for these special pre-race shows,” said Hoon Jr, founder of Beerhill Gang TV. “Speed Shift TV has a great production and I think they are near the top in terms of providing coverage of sprint car racing across the country. Together we can make these shows even bigger and this partnership should benefit all the parties involved and most importantly the fans.”

Speed Shift TV, based out of Minneapolis, Minn, is an online-based Pay-Per-View and On Demand provider specializing in Motorsports events. They have been broadcasting shows across the country for 3 years now and are scheduled to show more than 120 nights of racing in 2017. This will be their first trip to Central PA.

Their Facebook page has more than 57,000 followers and after races the site has clips of racing and interviews from throughout the night.

Created in 2016 by Hoon Jr. and Matt Miller of the infamous Beerhill Gang, Beerhill Gang TV aims to bring the best and most up to date information regarding the Central PA racing scene and the drivers of the PA Posse to the fans via Facebook.

With a motto of "For the Fans, by the Fans", the team of Hoon, Snyder, Wojcik and Andy Miller created PA Sprint Car Live for the 2017 racing season. The ‘Facebook Live’ hosted racing show is broadcast live each Thursday on the BHG TV Facebook page and the hosts interview drivers via phone and provide a recap of the week's racing events.

Utilizing "Facebook Live" technology, viewers have the opportunity to chime in using the “Fully Injected Motorsports Fan Zone” comment thread. Here fans can ask questions, chat with fellow viewers and guests, while interactively becoming part of the show from the seats at home. Fans also get the opportunity to vote for a driver of the week in an interactive poll thanks to Pace Performance.

The Beerhill Gang TV guys are looking forward to working together to put on a fantastic show and believe the partnership will benefit all parties

"At the end of the day, we are just a bunch of fans wanting to provide the fans at home the opportunity for more racing coverage throughout the week," said Snyder. “We believe Speed Shift TV shares many of the same goals and values as we do and we are extremely excited to bring our little slice of racing paradise to a larger audience in 2017 with their help."

Following the pre-race show, the night’s events will be available for purchase at www.speedshifttv.com. Prices and further details will be available at a later time.
Other races scheduled to be broadcast via Speed Shift TV from Port Royal include the May 27 and 28 Bob Weikert Memorial, USAC on June 17, Pennsylvania Speedweek on July 6 and 8 and the 50th annual Tuscarora 50 Sept 8 and 9, paying $50,000 to win and sanctioned by the All Stars.

Beerhill Gang TV and PA Sprint Car Live would like to thank Classic Ink, Fully Injected Motorsports and Pace Performance for their ongoing support as sponsors for the 2017 racing season. It is because of their belief in us that we have these opportunities.
