My first comment is how badly the track handled the serious injury and later death of a race driver. First there was no information on the condition of drivers for 40 to 50 min and the track pretended it was business as usual chatting up the crowd and acting like a high school cheerleader. It was clear to the fans in the stands that this accident was life threatening; then calling the family down in front of grandstand to sign some papers was thoughtless and insensitive. Then when the drivers came out to show their respects, the announcer didn't have the right name of the driver that was in critical condition.

My second comment is about Saturday night racing show which was started 1 ½ hours early so they could get the racing in from the previous night. The total mismanagement continued with awful track preparation endless hot laps, the announcer who called themselves the three D's and we named them dumb, dumber, and the dumbest of all Dave; he talked to hear himself talk and yet they didn't explain the race format or schedule or provide any useful information. They used a cheap ploy of "are you proud to be an American" to get crowd to respond 9 times during the races and the worst of all Dave instructed the crowd to stand for the start of each main (this isn't NASCAR) so you were trying to see the start over peoples heads and then in next couple of laps trying to get them to sit down.

From every aspect except one, this was the worst night of racing I can remember. The one exception is for the drivers and car owners who did there best to get through it and be positive

Thank you for speaking up.

I feel that the entire Kings Speedway group has plenty of room to grow. I believe that Mr Dias is making every attempt to run a good facility and a safe program, but this weekend was a product of poor planning.

To run multiple nights with with 3 & 4 classes but not to consider track prep a factor, not to mention the fact that vendors in the pits failed to supply enough tires to allow all team to be competitive. Is unfair to the people who raced as well as the fan who travelled and paid to be there.

The Vendor selling tires was out of SCRA right rears prior to the end of qualifying and ran out of left rears before the dashes. I would figure that the vendor did take in to account that there would be an issue with track prep, nor did they figure that a tire with an extremely hard compound would completely burn off in 8 laps, but guess what? It did.

I am willing to bet that even the winners didn't cover their expenses this weekend between tires, pit passes, & fuel. We had a pretty good weekend and I know we went in the hole.

As for the 3 D's, I hope that Mr. Dias understands that a track announcer can make or break a track. An announcer can be informative, educated, and keep the fans interested and returning to track race after race. Sadly, my understanding is that the 3 D's are lacking in those areas. Although I didn't hear it personally, my wife told me that one of them went as far as to make negative comments about drivers over the mike. This lacks all professionalism and 20 years ago might have gotta one of the D's a pop in the nose.

I bet that in his first year of race promotion Mr. Dias has learn a great deal, and some of the challenges he has had are in the past and others he is still battling. I do feel that you don't decide to become a race promoter, with the intention of doing a less than stellar job. I look forward to watch the kings speedway operation improve with the coming year and thank Mr. Dias for the attempt.

i have heard that at least the friday 410 main was cancelled. i do not know if that was the only race cancelled. i am wondering what might have happend to the prize money that was supposed to be paid for that. was it just put in the promotors pocket, or did he add to the saturday 410 purse to help some of the teams offset costs. could that prize money have been offered to the family of the driver that was killed?

i have heard that the best thing this promotor could do is to stop scheduling races in direct conflict with other races in the area.
