The 2016 RaceSaver® Nationals held at Eagle Raceway outside of Eagle Nebraska were an outstanding success. There were 129 engines representing 123 cars that passed through tech. The engine builders represented the strength and direction of the RaceSaver® class. Individual engine builders outnumbered the professional builders by a considerable 5 to 1 margin.
In the tech inspection line, there were only 21 engines that failed to pass tech the 1st time. The failures were valve train related, and when these issues were resolved all cars then passed tech.
We want to stress that these failures were resolved before competition and we list the engine builders with a number of engines they built and whether or not they passed tech the 1st time. The items that these engines failed on were not sealed items, and should not be considered solely the responsibility of the engine builder.
The racer and the engine builder must work together to ensure compliance with the rules.
We plan to update the website with a technical bulletin column with specific observations that may help builders and drivers comply with the rules.
