Nodust will be on hand tonight for Diversity Training. Rumor has it he'll be doing more watching than dealing tickets.

lol

decent crowd, $220,000 purse, I have VERY serious doubts with the dinky crowds on Thurs and Friday that there was any profit for the weekend, but a good time was had by all.

I got very ill and had to leave early last night, but looks like Tony has made this event as good as it was.

Lakeside had largest crowd in its history, ran out of tickets to even sell, ran out of pit passes also.

I guess it shows that Knoxville has a long way to go to have a profitable event, but it was about the crowd I expected.

With Knoxville going up against Lakeside and Knoxville Panther Homecoming, looks to me like the weekend was Bruces final screwing to the sprint car fans. BTW, Bruce good luck on your new job, what ever it is.

HEHEHE it's only goin to get bigger and better... Lakeside had a captive crowd for the Napcar deal so I guess it's a given that they will have a large crowd. But there were lots of fans at Knoxville from Kansas and Missouri that passed on a race close to home..... Who knows in a couple of years they might have to open the back straight.... Get feeling better...

Tony Stewart single handed made this weekend good.

Tony really looked like he was happy to be in Knoxville, and was having a good time.

It would be nice to see Tony replace Bruce and if that were to happen, I think the event would go to 4 days!

Knoxville is lucky that Kansas Speedway has a small grandstand however.

You are right, I did see a few plates from the KC area, which is a good thing as it would be hard to go to both.

Knoxville really needs to consider having Tony Stewart lease the place, it may be their best hope for a turn around.

you know that won't happen......I can't believe that it's taken Knoxville this long to realize that they have a first class place that should be utilized wheather it be sprints, late models, mods or horses.. use the track....I mean look they could even charge for testing like that joint up north..LOL !!!

Up north proved that P.T. Barnum was correct

"There is a sucker born every minute" lol lol lol

You know, in the summer that Knoxville has tire and private testing going on about every week, I bet they could grab a few bucks by unlocking the grandstand.

If someone would pay $22 to watch a taxi practice, Knoxville could easy charge $25 to watch a race car practice!.

Everybody needs a late model - to tow their race car! hehehehehe

If there's someone using the track about every week for testing , I've been way out of the loop. It does happen, but usually once a month at best. Unless of course you count the Dunkin's testing their newest dehydrated water/sheeps foot recipe.

They should have dropped a bomb on the track that day and they would have raised Iowa's IQ average 40 points. "Hey Dale, you're my favorite driver, will you sign my die-cast collectible so it is worth more on ebay?".

I thought I might slip out and take a peek at the Indy cars, but all the dumb "Little E" fans around newton just F'd that up. Looks like practice will never be free again.
