Lol. Dumbest thing I've read today. Dollanskey has raced husets many many times over the years and always had success. He qualified well. Started up front all night. Rico cut a tire while leading. Dollanskey then held off some very very good drivers. I was happy dobmeier didn't win AGAIN. Then you post this garbage.

It is dumb, but its not any dumber than the comments last week about how much better the Wastelands drivers were doing at the Nationals than the Knoxville drivers were.
All of those Wastelands regulars that were doing well at the Nationals were Knoxville regulars up until Chuck took a crap in the punchbowl and started throwing money around to buy some friends.
On a side note how was the crowd? From the FB thread it didn't sound like the crowd turnout was any better than the car turnout.

What's funny about your wa wa Chuck paying people comment is that the BMS faithful have been denying all year long that he's been paying guys to show up.
Even with Chuck throwing out a $250k purse he's going to be lucky to draw 50 cars total.

Get used to responses like....waaaaa waaaaa waaaaaa.............that's just a filler for the facts, which he doesn't pay attention to.
Also, sometime back Badlands made a Saturday night car count known for all to see. It went something like this:
Badlands 38 cars Knoxville 20 cars
I wonder if they are doing any updates, like:
Knoxville Nationals 107 cars Badlands Gold Cup 26 cars (and counting anything else that shows up, even with fenders)

Ford, the crowd was pathetic, maybe being on a Friday night, I don't know. The track seemed to be pretty wet at the start of the night and the heat races resembled aglorified hot laps session. If you didn't make a move at the start of your heat, you stayed where you were. Seemed like the late model feature dried the track out a bit as the sprint car feature wasn't too bad. You had two lines, the low side and about 2/3 of the way up where the cushion was. I was down in one and two and it seemed like the cushion was a foot or so tall. There were a few that jumped the cushion but kept it out of the wall except for Thomas Kennedy. He got the wall pretty good and retired after that. But, it was noticed that the payout for the late models originally was $1000 to win and $200 to start the feature. Well, Chucky decided to up the winners share to $2500 and made it $1000 to start. The payout sheets also had the sprint car feature at $4000 to win but it was said in victory lane that Dollansky got $10,000. Don't know if anything else was upped. So, bring on the USAC guys tonight, I guess. Should be interesting and eye opening.

Not many tracks can support a 3 night show with a decent crowd every night. Also, alot of sprint fans already dropped a significant wad of money and time at the Nationals last week.
River Cities ran last night so you probably lost NOSA 5-7 cars that would be at Badlands on a Saturday night.

Not sure about South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa (assuming that's where the main fan base comes from,) but high school football has started here in Missouri. If it has in that area, too, that could have some effect on the poor Friday night attendance. I'd be willing to bet that tonight's crowd isn't much better. Too many casual fans look upon non wing sprints as an inferior product, because they are slower. They don't realize that non wing racing is normally much closer and more exciting than winged. One of my favorite quotes (I'll leave it anonymous lacking permission,) "You'll see more passing in one USAC heat than you'll see all night at a WoO show." As far as tonight's car count, looking at the pre entry list, if they all show up plus some not pre entered, tonight could be a decent field of cars.
It will definitely be interesting to see how the next two nights play out.

The track conditions were a real plus after early on Friday night. Drivers liked it, too. Both Saturday and Sunday nights, the grader stayed parked so there was a deep cushion. Both Saturday and Sunday nights saw some real good racing, a lot of side by side stuff. Crowd, while not great, got better as the weekend went along. The USAC boys had a lot of three wide racing, too. Overall, too much wrecking though. A lot of flips or wall bangers.

Sprint car driver is a sprint car driver no matter the venue. Everyone at Badlands likes Dolansky. Your comment is a fail.

Why can't we all just get along??? This goes for fans/ promoters/ everyone involved in the sport we love. I was at Badlands for all 3 nights last weekend, the racing was pretty damn good all those nights!! The crowd was better with each night as well, IF you weren't there, you missed out! Probably a pipe dream, but MAYBE things will change for the better next year.

Change the format on the starting lineup for the $50,000 to win features next year.
Doesn't make sense for the top points drivers from the prelim nights to have a scramble where you draw a number for your starting lineups in the scramble which determines the starting lineup for the feature.
Don't have a problem with scramble races but they should be points added to the Friday night points that were accumulated.

Agreed. Problem is this forum is made up of 95% fans thinking they know it all and want it their own way. Even me.
