That Tony Jones is having one hell of a year! To be first AND second in points is quite a feat.....

What happened to Tony Jones at Tuscon? Did he have car troubles? Also what about Manzy, did he have to take a provisional?

Who knows? People that do must be posting somewhere else.

Jones crashed into Nadine on lap 4 of his heat race while leading in Tucson. He started 18th in the main, got to 10th before his engine expired late in the main.

Sat. at Manzy, he started 2nd in the fisrst heat but finished 6th. He started 8th in the semi and finished 9th. He took a provisional, started 21st, and with only lap 4 caution for debris (a cat on the track) he raced to a 3rd place finish while Spencer who started 2nd, pulled in with drivline problems on lap 4.

A potential bad points night for Jones ended up rather well. He was quite pleased after the race.

Actually Bill, the caution for the cat was in the B main. The only yellow in the A was on lap 1 when Nadine had problems. Highlights from both features will be up in an hour or so. Tomorrow I'll post some more from the preliminaries....fun weekend!
