Badlands will never be Knoxville. "Knoxville has something you can't buy, and that's history" - Terry McCarl during intro of dirt dreams.  Have fun watching monster trucks during nationals week.

Lol. kool-aid much? Yeah, he's throwing a bunch of cash around. Good for him. The new will wear off and it will be a part time race venu in less than 2 seasons and Knoxville will still be the sprint car Capitol of the world.

Chuck is no doubt doing great things for the Sioux Falls area drivers and fans, but he's ruining other tracks. There isn't another track outside of Jackson that can throw around the money that Chuck is. It was an amazing jester to give the drivers 4 free pit passes because of the heat. if another track did that, it would probably be the difference from breaking even to losing money. Eventually Chuck will see that throwing around all that money will only help him not the sport.

He (Chuck) is certainly not hurting Jackson, River City (33 sprint cars Friday night and huge attendance) or Eagle (157 drivers in pit last weekend and overflow crowd) and he can't hurt Knoxville (they have history).  Must be hurting Williams Grove and Silver Dollar Speedways.  Let him spend his money---don't see how giving drivers a ton of money hurts them.  How is it 'helping him' if as you say, "he's going to be gone in less than 2 years".

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

The reason Eagle had a packed house and 157 cars is that it was free night.  No one paid front gate admission.

I think one thing people are missing here is that right now Chuck is throwing around money because there is competition out there that he is trying to get rid of.  The big question is if he is successful in getting rid of his competition will he continue to throw money around?  I do believe that he can hurt the sport if this continues.  It isn't something that will happen overnight it could take years to see the effects.  I just wonder how long he will keep throwing the money around, I find it hard to believe he can turn a profit doing this.  If that was possible you would think more people would do it.  No matter how much money he has eventually he is going to expect that track to pay for itself.

I think he is still primarily upset with Tod Quiring and the NSL because he didn't get any NSL dates. Remember, he had them on his schedule before the NSL schedule was even released. Problem was, Tod Quiring from the very beginnig stated he would not schedule against Knoxville at the inception of the NSL, long before Huset's was sold. If Brennan is still miffed about that, too bad. Who or what kind of person can be miffed at a man who has kept his word?

Knoxville/Badlands running same night to be is bad for Sprint car racing. Run separate nights both tracks have big car counts and be on their way. The outlaw show losing cars last night to go run Badlands was horrible, especially since the winner of night one was included.

If everyone wants Badlands to go back to sunday night because its such a great night why don't everyone switch to sunday nights.   Get over it.   Back in the days of Jackson/Husets very few if any cars from Jackson supported Husets but Husets cars and fans kept that track going for many years.    Husets cars quit going and Jackson more or less was running on fumes or barely at all.   Today we have 3-4 Knoxville cars that ran Husets in the past couple of years.   These were racers that raced for a living.    None others showed up.....Knoxville racers are just like the PA posse , they rarely get off the porch.

I do think more than 1 person has money invested in Badlands.  This other guy(s) are sooner or later going to expect a return on investment.  If you owned a 410 and raced at Badlands every week, how would you like a track owner who paid a few guys from 4-5 hrs away to come in and beat your ass and take all the money home?  Knoxville did not at all miss McCarl or Henderson or Keading Saturday night.  The feature had some drama and the winner did not lead every lap.  The crowd was very good at Knoxville and programs got over I think at about 10.30 both nights.  The fans can also afford food and drink at Knoxville.  Better wait till end of season to see who kicks whos ass.  I really do not think it matters at all.

I am pretty sure eagle is not competition since they don't run the same classes

As Terry stated Knoxville has tradition and also the biggest[and prestigious] event in the Nationals that people travel from all over to attend and it also makes more money for them than all their other races combined. There are probably only two races that generate that kind of revenue that being the ChlliBowl[small purse TV and timing] and Boone Nationals [many forms of racing, again not a high purse and close to 700+ cars paying back gate.BMS needs some good cars which they have but most Saturday nights  people are going to the closest track if racing is somewhat equal.4to5 hours apart is plenty for both to survive.BMS or Jackson will never be Knoxville ,higher purses help racers,NSL is a good thing.Promoters actually promoting is good and the improvements at Jackson and BMS all help the fans.I cant beleive all the complaining as 410 sprints are stronger then ever in the Midwest. The WOO in my opinion is overated .With Steve gone Sammy part time, Lasoski and Terry  ,the Madsens ,Brown, all at Knoxville or BMS.Schatz could make as much running the Midwest but has backing to travel .If a regular or lower budget team, could win Knoxville it would be good for the sport and all it would take is a flat or motor problem or lapped car to make that a reality.Bobby Allens win is still one of the all time favorites, mine is Schatz coming from deep in the field, but the cars are very equal and usually the front three rows are always favored .
