Hopefully they get it over at a decent time. I hope everyone packs the place tonight. Maybe, maybe it'll show them they should run these classes every Sunday!!

Let's see, the only descent day of the weekend, holiday tomorrow 10, 000 grand to win 1000 to start I would sure hope some people will come however would be foolish to compare tonight with a normal Sunday. The fact remains Mr Runge that Sunday night's had become a fail and lets be honest the only reason you want Sunday night is because you are one of the few that does knoxville on a regular basis.

Clearly badlands feels threatened if they keep raising travel money to keep cars from Knoxville and raising purses last minute

Brennan has a history of raising the purse at the last minute before this year. He's raised the purse a number of times on the night of the race. One night last year, he put up an extra $5,000 to win the feature after the heat races were completed.

If you honestly believe he raised the purse tonight and doubled the TAP money last night without the intention to stop cars from racing at Knoxville and with the NSL you are full of the badlands koolaid. If there was no NSL race tonight would he still paid 10,000 to win? Maybe but I highly doubt it.

"Sunday nights had become a fail" because of the previos promoters lack of promoting anything other than the backgate.
If the program was run in a timely manner Sunday night with the current promotor and payout could be very very successful with 410's/360's and Latemodel Stock cars. Race all of the junk on Saturday night.
Racing 410's on Sunday night with the current purse would just about be guaranteed to have all of the NSL cars there in addition to the cars from the local area that will be there on Saturday anyway. You'd have 10-15 high quality cars/drivers there every week.
Start the show at 7 and have it done at 10. With decent weather the place would be packed on Sunday night.

It continues to baffle me that this guy should have to run his business on a less than ideal night just so a few drivers and fans can have their pick of tracks over 300 miles away from each other.
Even in Central PA, the biggest hotbed for local sprint car racing, weekly Sunday shows are not run. The WoO, the biggest draw in sprint car racing run very few Sunday shows, even in the summer.
Sunday nights aren't as good as Saturday nights, and Brannan, with all the money he's put into the facility and the purse, should not be blackballed because he chose to run on the best night for his track.

Just a question, but where have those NSL Cars been all the years for the other $10,000 to win shows in the past? Over the past 3 years Lasoski has ran a few times. They have never got Brown, Heskin, Tatnell, or Dollanksy often. they simply don't race there. The only true car missing out on the cash is Ian Madsen. The NSL cars never raced here before the NSL and they never will so find a new excuse.

yea, the nsl had a race there so their drivers had to be there. Besides that ONE time that they where REQUIRED to be there, they simply don't show up.

Also, say if you just show up and make the show your getting $1400 (depending how far you traveled) which was 10th last night. Say you set Quick Time, get last, and tow your getting $2400 which was 4th last night. Chuck is talking the talk and walking the walk. The "Knoxville" guys just can't get it done on short tracks.

Not drinking any Kool-Aid. Just wanted to inform those who don't know that Brennan has put up extra money many times before when other tracks weren't running.
I'm happy for the teams in the Des Moines and Sioux Falls areas. It should be great night for them to earn some nice money, no matter where they race. I hope both shows are successful.

For starters how many races has there been at Husets the past 10 yrs (other than the WoO and Allstar shows) that have paid more than their measely weekly purse did? Now how many of those shows had some wierd qualifying procedure that you had to attend several races before during the season? There was usually a show at the end of the year that paid good but you had to be there for most of the year to qualify.
There weren't very many good paying shows at Huset's before last year with the NSL.
If Chucky had raced at Huset's on Sunday night this year with his current payout the NSL regulars would have been there often because there would have been a good number of NSL points races there.
If Chucky had stayed on Sunday night the NSL would be racing at Huset's tonight, not the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
