To all of you griping about last night's race in Lincoln I pose this question.  What was different about last night's race compared to the 2013 (inaugeral) Gettysburg clash?  In 2013 everyone was talking about what a great race it was (may have had something to do with a local winning?), yet today everyone is griping about how bad it was.  I posted this informaation in a different thread but thought I would put a few "facts" out there.  The numbers don't lie.  If you look at qualifying and feature results, including start and finishing positions it looks dang similar to 2013.  So, I ask again, what was different last night compared to 2013?

You hit the nail squarely on the head. The only reason people are bitching about the race is because the 15 smoked them. That simple. If the 48 were sitting in victory lane, people wouldn't be bitching nearly as much. I was there and the track was pretty dry and slick but it was good for the feature. Lots of passing and action from 2nd on back. It wasn't the best race I ever saw but it was pretty good.

Yo' Stroker, it's pretty unfair when you throw the truth via stats at these Posse cheerleaders.  It both confuses them and saddens them and it's just not nice.  Playing fair is not fair when dealing with these ladies....

And you hit the nail squarly on the head! Problem is, facts only confuse that segement of the Posse fans that will twist anything to favor the Posse teams. I'm glad that there are many thousands of Posse fans out there that are truly and vigorously loyal, that do see the end results for what they are......RACING.  And when a Posse member does beat the Outlaws, I'm okay with it for those fans.  As for the others, the whiners and braggarts, a little butt hurt is good for them!

Lincoln tends to drop the ball on track prep for its bigger events. I remember there was a lot of talk about the rubber down condiitons at the 1st DIRT classic, and their USAC shows have left alot to be desired. The WoO takes the blame (of course) but this isn't the 1st time the track has been less than ideal. That said, I'll stand by it, the A Main was solid.

Blazer, the VAST majority of Posse fans are intelligent, loyal, knowledgable and among the best in the country, then there is a half dozen of the 'others' that come and post in this forum.  If you ever get there you will truly enjoy the experience, I highly recommend it...

from a gate hopper who drove all the way from Canada to Eldora to complain abourt track conditions of Friday's race only to SKIP the King's Royal and go to the movies instead.

At least when I left after the DRAW FOR FINISH DASH last night, I only have to drive a half hour to buy a new lawn mower and enjoy the rest of the evening.

The Irony of Reality: the only folks praising last night's 16 second lap times at Lincoln are people who did not attend...

Kind of like the Irony of you not telling us what was different about last nights race compared to the 2013 version.

Kind of like the Irony of you not mentioning the "DRAW FOR THE FINISH DASH" that took place back in 2013.

Details, details, details.

Enjoy tonights races at the Grove Mr. Rear.

Central PA racing is always a great experience. Friends, family & fans bantering and having a good time. Last night however, had a common issue or feeling. Track preparations! That's all! Nothing against Woo. It just could've been better.

you saying you wouldn't know the difference between a high 12 second and 16 second lap if you saw it?

hint: there is video...

High 12 second lap =  one big high speed choo choo train

15 to 16 second lap = racing.  You know, like last night and 2013.

Speaking of 2013, you still havn't touched on that years "Dash draw winner" or the difference between then and last night.

Have you left for the Grove yet?

Wizz, at least give the 8 June USAC show a shot, as long as their is not a 0.001 percent chance of rain. I bet the NW cars on Lincoln would be a good show.

In that I have no doubt, and that's why I refrenced to the thousands of Posse fans you also refer to. I know all about the few that take it too far. The PA trip is, and has been on my bucket list. My bucket just might tip over before I can get there.

Yeah, it was tough not to go back to my favorite track the next night but I said in advance that if the track continued to suck like my last 3 or 4 visits that was what I was going to do.  I went to the movies and an engagement party the next night since that happened to me that weekend.  I have never in my 500+ Outlaw shows ever left one part way through the night like you did last night, but taking your ball and going home is something you've done allyour life I'm guessing...
