Candy Cane Classic Holiday 5k and Reindeer Dash

Registration is now open for the 5k and Reindeer Dash that incorporates the iconic 1.5-mile speedway and the festive Gift of Lights holiday display. Runners can register online by visiting https://raceroster.com/events/2017/13773/speedway-candy-cane-classic-5k-reindeer-dash. The event gets underway at 4 p.m. with the Reindeer Dash, followed by the 5k at 4:45 p.m. The run, benefitting the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities and The Cowtown C.A.L.F. (Children's Activities for Life & Fitness), will include a lap around Texas Motor Speedway as well as through portions of the Gift of Lights display along the concourse. The Reindeer Dash is a short run down pit road and designed for youngsters to participate in the event. At the conclusion of the running events, the participants will be treated to the holiday classic "The Polar Express" that will be shown on the world's largest TV known as "Big Hoss" that is situated on the speedway's backstretch. The movie is scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. and admission is included in the registration. Fans not participating in the run can enjoy the holiday classic for $20 per carload. Moviegoers will enter through the South Tunnel and watch the film from a spot in the Texas Motor Speedway infield.
