The drivers for the Southeast title came down to Ron Parker, David Smith, Colby Cannon and Cla Knight. When the events concluded in the GA State Championships Sunday evening at Lavonia, GA Parker was able to be the driver at the top of the “FASTRAK Mountain” taking his first career championship and pocketing $10,000 dollars in close out what’s been a phenomenal season. Ron Parker in his quest to becoming the 2015 FASTRAK Southeast Touring champion picked up two victories on the season at Wythe Raceway in May followed by Toccoa Raceway in June. In addition he was the two time Triple Crown Series and inaugural East Coast Rumble Heavyweight Champion of the World, now he’s the Southeast $10,000 champion. Parker had to say the following about the 2015 season, “What can I say thank you to all the race fans, my entire #8 race team that have traveled up and down the road with me all season long, but most importantly I’d like to thank God the man upstairs for keeping us safe and blessing us, it’s been a great year a tough one but it was all worth it with achievement right here.” Parker continued with saying, “I think FASTRAK is the best racing series program in the country out there period, they offer the best competitors and you have to get up on the wheel to win in this series much less get the championship.” Parker continued by saying, “There has been so many things we did in racing but this is the “big one” right here so far in my career, so many things we did this year but to cap it off with a championship we’re extremely happy,” concluded Parker. Stan Lester of the FASTRAK Racing Series said the following to Parker after winning the championship after shaking his hand congratulating him, “I have got to give it to Ron Parker, to come back after a while being gone and just want to win, but stay after it with Triple Crown, East Coast Rumble and now the pinnacle the SE championship he’s earned it, Ron all I got to say is you have got $10,000 coming to you”.
