Fram Autolite Brad Doty Classic Presented By National Interstate Insurance Up Next for the World of Outlaws

For the second straight year, the World of Outlaws will contest the Fram Autolite Brad Doty Classic Presented by National Interstate Insurance at the state-of-the-art Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio on Wednesday, July 11. The track is owned and operated by the University of Northwestern Ohio.
 
This will be the 19th consecutive season for the race honoring the legendary driver, with Doty again promoting the event this season.
 
Joey Saldana set fast time and went on to lead all 40 laps to win the event for the first time in his career last season. Along with 24 other drivers from the World of Outlaws, he will also have his car owner, NASCAR star and former sprint car driver Kasey Kahne to contend with on Wednesday, July 11, as his boss will strap on the helmet in search of his first World of Outlaws win. Saldana enters the event with nine A-Feature wins on the season, including in the most recent series race at I-55 Raceway. He is second in championship points on the strength of 34 Top-10 finishes and also leads the series in laps led and fast time honors.
 
Donny Schatz finished third last season in the event. The reigning World of Outlaws champion and Knoxville Nationals winner, won earlier this season on ¼-mile track at Houston Raceway Park in Texas. That was one of his nine A-Feature wins to-date, as he continues to lead the points in pursuit of his second straight title. The native of Fargo, North Dakota has finished in the Top-10 in 37 of 41 races this season.
 
Danny Lasoski finished fourth last season in the event at Limaland Motorsports Park. The 2001 series champion is currently third in points on the strength of three A-Feature wins, along with 30 Top-10 finishes. He led a number of laps last Saturday at I-55 Raceway in his home state and finished fifth, while nursing a patched right rear tire.
 
Daryn Pittman finished ninth last season at Limaland Motorsports Park. The former World of Outlaws Gumout Series champion won earlier this season on a ¼-mile track at Riverside International Speedway in Arkansas, one of his three A-Feature wins on the season. He is fourth in points with 28 Top-10 finishes.
 
Jason Meyers will make his first start at the ¼-mile with the series on Wednesday, July 11, in search of his fourth win of the season. The native of Clovis, California won earlier this season in the state of Ohio at Eldora Speedway. He has 28 Top-10 finishes on the season and is fifth in championship points.
 
Steve Kinser won twice at Limaland Motorsports Park in 1978, the World of Outlaws inaugural season. He also was victorious at the ¼-mile the following season. He is the only driver that has multiple wins with the series at the track. He heads to the pristine ¼-mile with seven A-Feature wins on the season to go along with 26 Top-10 finishes, including a third last Saturday night at I-55 Raceway.
 
Craig Dollansky finished sixth last season at the track. The native of Elk River, Minnesota won three times on ¼-mile tracks last season. He has one A-Feature win this season, at Lake Ozark Speedway in Missouri in May. The former World of Outlaws Gumout Series champion has 26 Top-10 finishes and is seventh in championship points.
 
Paul McMahan will make his first visit to the ¼-mile with the series on Wednesday, July 11. He won his second A-Feature of the season on July 1 at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin. His first win of the season came in the state of Ohio at Eldora Speedway, which is owned by his car owner, two-time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart. McMahan has 20 Top-10 finishes on the season and is solidly in the Top-10 in championship points.
 
Jason Solwold competed at the ¼-mile last season. The native of Mt. Vernon, Washington is currently ninth in points as he closes in on his first A-Feature win of the season. He has 23 Top-10 finishes on the season.
 
Jac Haudenschild competed in the event at the track last season. The native of Wooster, Ohio earned his first A-Feature win of the season on June 30 at Red River Valley Speedway in North Dakota. He has 19 Top-10 finishes on the season as he holds down the 10th spot in points.
 
Tim Shaffer will make his first start with the World of Outlaws at Limaland Motorsports Park on Wednesday. The native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania has 18 Top-10 finishes on the season as closes in on his first A-Feature win of the season.
 
Terry McCarl won the Crane Cams Dash last season in the Fram Autolite Brad Doty Classic Presented by National Interstate Insurance and was the runner-up in the 40-lap A-Feature. The native of Altoona, Iowa won his first event of the season on June 16 at Knoxville Raceway, where he is a six-time track champion. He heads to Limaland with 20 Top-10 finishes.
 
Jason Sides will make his first start at the ¼-mile on Wednesday. The 2003 World of Outlaws Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year has 13 Top-10 finishes on the season, with five of those being in the Top-Five. He was the runner-up on June 30 in the finale of the Duel in the Dakotas at Red River Valley Speedway.
 
Kerry Madsen, the current leader in the battle for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award will make his first start at the immaculate ¼-mile this week. The native of St. Mary's, NSW, Australia has four Top-Five finishes in the last seven races, including a runner-up performance at Black Hills Speedway on June 25.
 
Randy Hannagan finished eighth last season in the Fram Autolite Brad Doty Classic Presented by National Interstate Insurance. He has five Top-10 finishes on the season, including a fourth-place effort on June 30 at Red River Valley Speedway.
 
Justin Henderson will make his second start in the event this week. The native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota earned a career-best third-place finish on July 1 at Cedar Lake Speedway in Wisconsin.
 
Chad Kememah finished 10th last season at Limaland, which is located in his home state of Ohio. The event on Wednesday, July 11 will be his second start for the Hard 8 Racing team, which he joined prior to the event at I-55 Raceway on July 7.
 
Jeremy Campbell competed at Limaland last season. The second-year driver from Michigan is currently in the Top-20 in points and has three Top-10 finishes on the season.
 
There will be three other contenders for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award that will be making their first visit to the racy ¼-mile including: Chad Hillier of Washington, who is a multi-time track champion at Skagit (Wash.) Speedway, Tony Bruce Jr. of Kansas, who finished fourth last Saturday at I-55 Raceway and Sam Hafertepe Jr. of Texas, who is the reigning American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Sooner Region champion.
 
Brooke Tatnell finished fifth last season in the event. The native of San Souci. NSW, Australia has 12 Top-10 finishes on the season.
 
Also in action on Wednesday will be veteran Dion Hindi of New Mexico, second-year driver Jason Martin of Kansas and veteran Brian Carlson of Indiana.
 
Rookie Zach Chappell will miss the event as he continues to recover from a left knee injury sustained in a pit accident on July 1 at Cedar Lake Speedway.
 
On Wednesday, July 11 at Limaland Motorsports Park, reserved tickets will be $32. Adult general admission tickets will be $27, with general admission for those ages 11-15, $15, and general admission for children ages 10-under will be free. Also a pitside reserved ticket will be available, which includes a pit pass for $40.
