Reinke wins back to back Jerry Richert Sr. memorial races at Cedar Lake.

Reinke, Logan, Biertzer for the top 3.

Great race Rienke drove the wheels off the thing. Sure thought he was going for a ride when Winters brake checked on a restart and he rode up over Logan. Tried to go talk after the races but the line was very long this kid seems to be getting more popular.

Interesting how the 17g jumped and was sent back a row and how a certian car jumps every race and the start come's back with no penalty at all. No wonder why there is always a low outside car count.

Logan was a strong 2nd.

I am personally tired of the race track prep it should be done long before the fan's arrive.  I came and paid to see sprint car racing not a ton of support classes or grader races. Time for you people to get a clue.

We were seated on the backstretch and it is very poor class when people cheer for a flipping driver. No class was shown for Winters shame on you people, you look make yourself  look more stupid than the Winters clan. I think Winters ran into everything including gizmo or whatever you call it but still to cheer for a flipping driver is just insane.

Friday was way to late but great racing between Neitzel and Whitney. Maybe you could run only one class next time.

Talk was that Russell Borland was going to be ok! Very Very scary crash don't want to see that ever again.

17G broke before the heats, I'm not sure which car you are talking about that jumped. And the track prep was light due to the rain that was moving into the area so less water was put down just in case one of the cells hit the track. After it was bladed the track was fine and we were still out of there by 10:30 which I didn't think was too bad. There was only 3 heats and a feature for the midwest mods and the vintage cars only took about 20 mins total which wasn't too bad either plus those cars were COOL! Huset's ran and took the 9n, 13, 1z and maybe a few others but lost their show to rain. And people cheering for the R19 crashing, that's a touchy subject. He did it to himself so nobody else to blame but maybe the 68 was secretly cheering against him which he had every right to do after Winters drove him into the fence. That was a dirty play and like Mr. Gump says, "That's all I got to say about that"........I thought CLS did a great job with the crappy 25 MPH winds all night and the track was smooth for the feature. Thanks to all the race teams that showed up!

I am talking about the 17g jumping on Friday night at Superior. "oops" Very late night at Superior.

Yes Cedar Lake was early but the track prep should have been done before, I see this way to much at alot of tracks and am tired of it. Never said anything about track conditions just tired of sitting thru track prep in the middle of the program that is all.

Cheering for a flipping car is just plain rude. It doesn't matter if he had it coming or not or who it is. Like I said he ran into almost everything. Very poor sportsmanship by I am assuming IRA people.

The mouth on the R19 crew is very very poor and I would be ashamed if I sponsored or owned that car.

Overall 2 good nights of racing.

Scott Winters is very exciting to watch, but way to aggressive at times in my opinion. He ran the 68 into the turn 2 wall and put him out of the race. He made an aggresive yet clean slide job on the 48 exiting turn 2 and the 48 paid him back in a poor way in turn 4. I'm not saying Winters had it coming, but his driving style certainly catches up to him. I wonder how the IRA regulars feel about him? The IRA guys seem to lift or give eachother room so they don't wreck eachother or themselves. Mr. Winters may want to take note of that.

Get used to the track prep. With high fuel costs, dry weather conditions and the normal "banking on rain cells to help the track" is the way it has been all season. I don't see any changes next year either.

Also, get used to support classes. I don't like them either hoosier1, but a sprint only evening is hard to come by. Superior really sucked because they made up races that rained out Thursday. I did not have a problem with Cedar Lake's support classes. Actually, the sprint A-main took the loongest due to the red flag and several yellows.

Thank God Russell survived that crash. I don't think I have ever seen a straight on impact like that.

I received a e-mail from the Borlands this morning. Russel is OK but very sore and bruised. One very lucky person. He had all of the correct safety equipment in place including the complete Hans Device. It certainly did it's job.

The makeup features is precisely the reason I skipped the Friday show at Superior. I heard nothing but bad things about how late the show was including a number of people who left before the features were run. Making up races is fine I guess but sprint car fans usually travel further than others so run them first! This is starting to get very, very frustrating.....Glad to hear Borland is going to be fine. I heard that was a nasty wreck.

I'm not going to get used to a whole ton of support classes or track prep. I will just simply stay away from tracks that have done this in the past. Midnight is just way to late no excuses just to late.

Off to work so I can enjoy the weekend. Any Outlaws coming to Dodge the night before Charter?

Are the 9, 02, 2w, 85m or others going to show up on Sunday? Be nice to see a local car have a good run.

Cram got hosed on that deal. The two front row cars made it to the line before he went by. They split at the line and he went through the middle. Almost looked as if he was getting set up for it. Still came back and ran third in the heat and outran the 02 in the feature.

Cram jumped and that is all there is to that. My question is I have seen other cars jump in prior weeks and no penality. Why when Cram jumps he get's sent back a row? I guess you call it taking care of their own so in that way he did get hosed. Most of the starts in IRA are so poor it is pathetic. Still he could only muster a 5th place finish in the A running behind Whitney, Neitzel, Ballog, and Hanei.

According to the WoO websight, they are in KS on the 14th, I was hoping to see a few WoO guys, maybe Dolanski is crazy enough to do it, but I doubt it.I think Sinclair said there is something in their contracts that says they can't race in an X mile radius of the next event. That is what screwed up the September Oshkosh show last year. There was a couple WoO guys looking into running Oshkosh and then Wilmot, but they couldn't due to contractual obligations.  

The best we could hope for is a few from out west. I actually think both IRA shows will be pretty good this weekend, without any extras. The IRA guys love the 1/2 milers and both Antigo and Dodge do a pretty good job on prep. As a bonus, Dodge supposedly has finally listened to the fan and gets you out at a respectable hour.

As for the posts about support, the next two IRA weekends in WI should be stellar. No fillers. IRA and Fast Trak lates on Friday in Oshkosh and the IRA and WDLMA lates the next Saturday for the Filskov.

Also, there was a question on here about where Forbrook will show. A betting man would think that if he will be anywhere, he will be at the Filskov on the 29th. For whatever reason, they like that track and race. Wayne Johnson was there last year and Brooke was there three years ago and won.

My son Les called me at noon Friday after I hadn't planned on going to Soup Town and twisted my arm to go to the races. I didn't have my camera batteries charged so I sat in the stands and watched the racing for a change.

The Northern Nationals is a three day event. Without the support classes they'd have been a little light at the gate if it was a stand alone Sprint show. The Sprint fans on this board aren't going to get it but Superior is primarily Stock Car and Modified country. If the rained out races from Thursday had not been run they'd have had a riot on their hands because the regulars look forward to these specials all year. Likewise, if Superior had scheduled all the makeup races on Saturday, Late Model and Modified night, they'd have had an even bigger riot on their hands. That's the big draw up there and it's easy to inconvenience the Sprint teams because they're only there two times a year. I don't have to explain this to you Mike because you know what these fans are like up here. On 20/20, one of the local Stock Car and Modified message boards, they're blaming the late night at Superior on the Sprints and complaining that they don't have starters. That's just the way it is up here, a few years ago we didn't have as many Sprint shows so I'm just happy to have them come around more often.

As far as track preparation at Cedar Lake, the Swamp Man is the best and I'd never second guess him. ;)

Thank you Stan. It took a few times to get the feature underway in Superior, but once they got it, the clicked off 30 laps pretty damn fast didn't they! I too get tired of the stock car fans who blame everything on sprint cars not having starters. At the Masters, I had late model fans sit in front of me. The track announcer asked the crowd who was there for the sprints and who was there for the late models. I'd say it was about a 50/50 crowd vote. The funny thing is the late model guys who were in front of me just shook their heads in disgust over hearing the crowd cheer for sprints and continued on with the normal trash talk that comes from stock car fans. They are the ones who don't get it.....if the hate the sprints so much, and know they are on the evenings card, then don't buy a fricken ticket! I can't stand ignorant people like that that spend their hard earned money to come to a race and bitch about who is racing.

I couldn't agree with you more resprinter but I live in Rome so I've got to do what the romans do. If that includes watching some guy in a Stevie Smith shirt drive a Late Model so be it.

If there are any Bloomquist fans reading this board I'm just kidding. I think this photo I took of Scott before the races a few years ago illustrates that the drivers have a great deal of respect for the other forms of racing. Bloomquist is equivalent to Steve Kinser in his form of racing and he drove a Midget in the Chili Bowl so he's cool. It's some of the narrow minded fans who don't get it. The drivers know how difficult it is to excel in any type of dirt track racing and most respect the other forms of racing.

Most of the time I'm taking photos in the infield and don't have to listen to the chatter. I was guilty of complaining about the lap and spin, lap and spin B Mod, Super Stock and Street Stock races at Soup Town last Friday. I know some of those drivers and they're good guys but my son pointed something out that irritated both of us. B Main, two laps to go and a Super Stock spins out. The motor is running and he could have kept going but he sits there and draws a yellow with two friggin' laps to go in the Consi. My son says "what the #### does he think he's gonna' do, make a charge through the field on a green, white checker?" And they say Sprints delay the show...

First time at the track, started tenth, finished 5th, yet "could only muster a 5th place finish." You started out defending Cram then you turned into an a--. Bipolar problem maybe?
