Pretty good race tonight. They almost had a repeat of the sammy vs. the push truck style wreck in qualifying involving Byron Reed. The night started off kinda strange with them having to restart qualifying after the electric eye decided to quit working after the first four qualifiers. Much better track conditions than lernerville on friday but that's a whole different story............

No internet connection tonight from the track - no fault of DirtVision. Last night the connection from the track was cutting in and out all night long. This internet broadcast thing is only as good as the connection we're given when we get there - which sometimes doesn't exist at all. Things will be done differently in 2008, but for now it is what it is. We apologize.
The Byron Reed incident - a car was sent onto the track by a track worker (not an All Star official) during Reed's qualifying run. He almost slammed into the back of the push truck. The timing light was getting a direct line of sunlight right into the reflector and caused all kinds of havoc, but the rest of the night went off without a hitch. Great crowd and a great race on a great track surface.

i was sure byron was going to nail both jack in the push truck and scott euler it had all the makings of the big one but thankfully byron seen him in time and got it slowed down stevie smith and chad blonde were going at it pretty hard in the feature to bad wilson didnt start a little closer i think he could have won if not for starting 10th and letting the front 2 get a big lead built up while he was dealing with lap cars on the restart the final few races are going to be interesting between Danny Smith and Greg Wilson as i think Greg might have really closed the gap up tonight point wise

Swamp, hope you didn't think I was tryin' to bust on the allstars with my post. I was pretty sure that the sun had a lot to do with the timing light problem as you just confirmed. I probably should have mentioned that before.

Kudos to Rex and the gang for giving the All Stars a super racy track tonight at Attica. It was smooth and fast on the top, bottom, and middle as evident with the clean side-by-side racing lap after lap.

Power - no offense taken, just figured it needed to be explained since a lot of people were probably getting frustrated with the delay (as was I).
The track was awesome and the racing was excellent all night long - even in the heats. This is why Attica is mt favorite place to watch a race in Ohio...can't wait to get back there again in 2008.
Ed - I will try to update points this morning and will post them if I can get them done...at least for the top 5.
