should have went to Sun Prairie. it would have been half as far and probably 100 times better.
only 20 410's and 1 360
no Scott Young, no Kim Mock, no Knoxville guys.
i thought Luxemberg was the worst. Luxemberg is Knoxville or Eldora compared to this place.
terrible track. shaped like an egg(sort of). no passing. no racing. really bad
if you started in the front row, you won.
fast time: John Haenei
heat winners were: Steve Meyer, Kurt Davis, and Scott Nietzel
no B-main.
A-main: (no, this ain't April Fools) Kurt "FATTBRO" Davis won????!!!! he started on the pole. 2nd went to Bill Warren, followed by Donny Goedon, Mike Reinke, and John Hainei. the rest of the top ten had Steve Meyer, Scott Nietzel, and Whitney. not sure exactly. i think Mike Reinke had the "hard charger" for coming from 7th to 4th.
again, what a waste of time going to this. hope not too many others made the same mistake i did.

Bartz blows smoke and engine life sustaining fluids down the front stretch and into turns 1-2 during his 2nd lap attempt. Hunt scrubs speed off turn 2 for 1-lap. Haeni loses his momentum on his 2nd lap out of 4, but 1st lap eventually held. Meyer 180’s it out of turn 3-4 on his 2nd lap. Modjeski did not hit the track.
Weld Wheels Heat (10 Laps) 1. Steve Meyer [1]; 2. Dave Uttech [2]; 3. John Haeni [6]; 4. Mike Reinke [5]; 5. Scott Uttech [4]; 6. Ty Bartz [3]; 7. Ryan Irwin [7].
Meyers leads out of turn 2 using the high line. Haeni would move into 3rd by the end of Lap-2. Lap-4: Reinke takes 4th on the backstretch. Later in the goings, Meyer was safe out front as Haeni would close in on Uttech and the 2 were side-by-side at the checkers.
Lane Automotive Heat 1. Kurt Davis [1]; 2. Billy Warren [6]; 3. Donny Goeden [4]; 4. Billy Hafemann [2]; 5. Joe Symoens [3]; 6. Tim VanDerVere [5]; 7. Lance Fassbender [7].
Davis into an immediate lead off the high side of turn 2. Goeden is into 2nd off turn 2 around Lap-3. Warren takes 3rd into turn 3 from underneath Hafemann. Lap-7: Warren takes 2nd on the front stretch.
MPD / VMAC Racing Products Heat 1. Scotty Neitzel [5]; 2. Scott Biertzer [3]; 3. Travis Whitney [6]; 4. Rick Kelsey [7]; 5. Andy Hunt [4]; 6. Russell Borland [1]. DQ-Brian Kristan [2].
Kristan leads out of turn 2 over Biertzer and Neitzel. Neitzel would take a deep line into turn 3 to grab 2nd. Lap-4: Action in the back had Hunt and Kelsey swap the tail end around the track. Borland spun to a stop on the low line of turn 2 about ½ way through. Neitzel would take the lead for Biertzer out of turn 2. Lap-8: Yellow after Kristan busts a 720 spin around turn 2. On that restart, Kristan tags the rear nerf of Hunt which sent Kristan into half-spin and stall in turn 2. Kristan is sent pit side for 2 unassisted yellows. No change Green-White-Checker.
Unofficial and incomplete.
A Feature (25 Laps) 1. Kurt Davis [1]; 2. Billy Warren [9]; 3. Donny Goeden [4]; 4. Mike Reinke [7]; 5. John Haeni [10]; 6. Scotty Neitzel [6]; 7. Steve Meyer [2]; 8. Travis Whitney [8]; 9. Scott Uttech [5]…Andy Hunt [3]; Scott Biertzer [11]; Joe Symoens [12]; Dave Uttech [13]; Billy Hafemann [14]; Rick Kelsey [15]; Ty Bartz [17]; Russell Borland [19]; Ryan Irwin [20]; Lance Fassbender [21]. DNF-Tim VanDerVere [16], DNF-Brian Kristan [18].
Davis leads out of turn 2 running that high line over Meyer, Goeden and Hunt. By Lap-4, Goeden takes 2nd out of turn 2. Lap-9: Traffic, R/O: Davis, Goeden, Warren, Meyer, Reinke, Haeni, Neitzel, Whitney, S. Uttech, Kelsey…. Lap-13: Warren would take 2nd through turns 1-2. Late in the Feature, Warren would catch Davis and after some side-by-side action, Warren takes the lead in heavy, heavy traffic for a moment. Warren is working the low line very well as every one else is top side. Green flag all the way until Lap-21: Yellow flag for Kristan, stalls out on the back stretch. VanDerVere would duck pit side as the yellow waved. Symoens with the Lucky Pass so Davis would lead Warren (Borland) (Fassbender) (Irwin) Goeden, Reinke, Haeni, Meyer and Neitzel, S. Uttech, Whitney and Bartz in the Top-10 on the restart. The short last 4 lap dash and Warren had nothing for Davis as contenders cleared slower traffic. Haeni would grab the 5th position from Neitzel at the line not by much though.
An exuberant Davis thanked Modjeski for the motor and was inaudible for most part of the post race interview, he was one excited guy.
Warren was very satisfied with his runner-up as this 3-day race ended with him doing very well using a bent/broken frame and back-up motor. Had some issues from the previous 2 days of racing out of state.
Goeden is on the podium so much this year, he has a stock speech down. Which is really good for Bob Walldan.
Biertzer was congratulated for his previous nights 1st career IRA A Feature win. Kinda a bad night tonight, but when asked about his win at Deer Creek, a genuinely feeling of pride from a guy who has had so many chances to win either go bad or just not his way this year. Good for them.
