FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

USAC/CRA CHAMPION CAR OWNER GLENN CROSSNO HIRES INDIANA'S SCOTTY WEIR FOR THE 2007 SEASON!

(DECEMBER 1, 2006, MIRA LOMA, CA) 2006 USAC/CRA car owner champion Glenn Crossno announced on Friday that up and coming Indiana Sprint Car star Scotty Weir will be in the cockpit of his championship winning car for the 2007 USAC/CRA season.

Crossno first met Weir on the TNT Tour last summer and got to know him better when the USAC National Sprint Car Series came west for the Budweiser Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway and the Western World Championship at Manzanita Speedway in November.

Crossno chose Weir after watching the young driver turn in impressive performances on the TNT tour and at the Oval Nationals. "He is an up and coming driver with good stats," the champion car owner said by phone on Friday afternoon. "He is very smooth and has impressive ability. He started 24th in the A main of the Oval Nationals and ended up ninth. In addition he has a lot of knowledge about the car."

Weir, who made his USAC National Sprint Car debut with one race in 2005, was a rookie in 2006 and finished an impressive 11th in the National standings. Weir will be leaving his home in Marion, Indiana and moving to Southern California where he will also work for ITI Performance Racing when he is not on the track.

The 2006 championship car will be sponsored by HK Constriction, ITI Performance Racing, Sander Engineering, Bullet Chassis, Advance Racing Shocks and Brown & Miller Hoses and Fittings for the 2007 campaign. The Crossno/Weir duo will make their Southern California debut when Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply presents the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Season Opener at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday night, February 3rd.

Did Davey Pombo get fired before he ever started? If so that sucks. I was really looking forward to watching him next year in the 38 car. I think that he could be a championship contender in USAC/CRA with a good ride. Tough luck due!!!!!!

congrats to Scotty Wier. But I have 1 question while the 38 is a top notch team why would a midwest driver want to come and race on the west coast once a week when he can race much more often in the midwest? while the young guns out here are all trying to get back east.

I never heard that Davey was ever hired, although i think he would have been a great fit. That being said, i'm a big Scotty fan, and it will be cool to see him in the kind of equipment Glenn can provide. Good luck to the 38 team!
