Not sprint related, sorry.
It's snowing in TX and OK and I got a phone call from some excited tiny ones telling me that school is closed in Kansas City today due to the snow/ice and they may receive 5 " later today. Up here in the great White North I have the option to go golfing again today but the rain will likely put a damper on that, it is near 60 though, whodathunk? Global warming, nahhhh, Take It Easy.....

Mikey, at Expo Square (Chili Bowl site) it is 24 cooooold degrees, 2" of ice on ground and forecast 10-12"'s of white stuff. 60 degrees in Canada sounds damn good. No global warming here. Brrrrrrr!

Speedbump, have you ever watched them build the track? It's quite an achievement. I've only watched stages of it, never from beginning to completion but It takes lots of manhours and equipment.
There predicting that this storm has the potential of being the worst for November ever in Tulsa. I sure hope the mild winter they predicted is true....its only 21 days until it begins.

I've only seen the pictorials that they put up on the Chili Bowl website during construction, but ya....it looks like a heck of a job and one that wouldn't be much fun having to deal with a foot of snow.
you guys get this stuff out of your system now, so we can relax in the 65 degree sunshine in 39 days.

I hope it's 65 degrees when I (we) get there. If the weather forecast shows promises of sunny days, I'm bringing the clubs this time.

Mikey,
They never close the courses in Oklahoma. Just have days they won't let ya play.

Mike -
How's it hanging buddy?
I know of an 18 hole course just off of Memorial near the Sam's Club. I called them 2 years ago and they said they were open subject to the weather cooperating. Naturally it was snowing at the time.
Joe.

And sometimes those days become weeks. However for the past 4 or 5 years the weather during the bowl has been good enough for play, at least one or two days. I recommend the Cherokee Hills Course in Catoosa at the Cherokee Casino Resort, in my opinion 2nd best in the area, after Southern Hills. (a PGA course). And while your there, stop at the Casino and take some Cherokee money home with ya.

I'll disagree with ya on that one Pat. I can ride the scooter to the races when it's 104 out....both motorcycles and racecars struggle a bit when you have to put chains on the tires.

The last three days here in central PA it has been in the low 60's. Tons of folks outside for deer season, golfing, and bass fishing on the Susquehanna and Juniata. Tomorrow they say near 60 in the morning, with 50 MPH winds by afternoon, and snow flurries by evening.

I wore shorts 3 out of the 4 days to the Chili Bowl last year. Golfers were on all the courses mentioned above, I also made a nice monetary donation to the Cherokee's. 70 in Philly today.........that was the temp, the golf score was higher.;)

Yeah, Kansas City sucks today. Not only are we going to get about 10", but there is a thick layer of ice underneath it. They let me outta work today at 3pm it's so bad for driving. You're lucky you're not here!
