He is retire until his family put him in a car that they own. Question is who will be the next to drive and quit; and how long will it last?

Okay, who predicted June 1st back during the winter when it was announced he would drive for Forbrook? Remember, we caught heck about predicting such things but reality has struck and it came true.

If Forbrook is still affiliated with Mopar, Tyler already burned that bridge highly unlikely for him to be back in that car.

What about Tim Kaeding? I do know there is some stuff in the works but that is not 100%, so if Rod Tiner and Tim can't get there deal going I think the Forbrook car would be a perfect fit for Tim, well at least for the big money races like the Nationals and Kings Royal where the Forbrook car has done very well in the past. Go T.Kaeding/Hodnett

I don't think anyone is a good fit in the 5 car. The only reason that car ran so well at Eldora was because Sammy was in the car!! Guy needs the pull his head out of his a&& and wake up, until he can understand he is not perfect, the car will never be competative!! Not everything that goes wrong, can be put on the drivers shoulders every time. If anyone can make alot of good drivers look bad, it's Guy!!! TK is way to good to put himself in that car. JMO

Lasosky and Forbrook never accomplished anything? Maybe some day Guy could win at Knoxville. Kinser didn't hit his a-- with him either.

Whoever guy got it would not work! Whether it was tim kaeding, jake peters or who ever. Guy seem to be impossible to work with, or for.

Silence can stick out like a sore thumb, from me.

Oh, and good luck to Lindquist in his own car or any other offers he gets.

The word I'm getting here in Minnesota is that this was a personal decision of Dustin Lindquist to get out of racing and had nothing to do with the car owner. That came from a reliable source that is close to the situation. Sometimes we forget that there are a lot of other things to do in life and regardless of their talent as drivers none of these drivers owes us anything. I wish Dustin well in whatever path his life takes him.

hell yeah you r right David...........someone did predict June 1st, but I can't remember who it was.

We all said it wouldn't last.............there must be somethin extremely wrong with that car owner........as hard as it is to find a ride these days..........but yet no one wants anything to do with him, well.........nobody with a lot of talent anyway.

This had nothing to do with the owner of the 5 car.

It was a decision by Lindquist that his priorties in life had changed.

Most of you people are right, Dustin decided to stop on his own, Guy was just as shocked as everyone else. Dustin has been talking about this for sometime now and even with the Knoxville win, that couldn't even fire him up. So if your heart is not in it, it's time to stop, and that is just what Dustin wanted to do.

This is a post from the Minnesota board from one of Dustin's family members.

First of all Dustin would like to thank all of you who have supported throughout the past five years. It has been a long road filled with many memorable moments and many more wonderful people (you know who you guys are! wink). Dustin did make the executive decision to "retire" as it has been said. Yes he is young and yes he has talent however he just decided enough is enough. He is excited to start a new chapter in his life eagerly looking forward to his first summer with his son Jayce. Life changes as well as ones priorities. Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH for your support!

Good luck and best wishes to all!
