Way to go Kinser but a hell of a job for Jason Sides... I thought he was gonna win that race. O well Sides will get one pretty soon awesome run for "Double Down".

Just got home from New Egypt at 2AM. Well worth waiting through a several hour rain delay though. They were about 15 minutes from getting the track back the first time and the rains came again around 9:00 or so. It seemed like the cars hit the track again around 10:00 or 10:30 for single lap qualifying. The checkers fell around 12:45AM. 31 or 32 cars with about 25 or so of them being good, quality competiton. A few URC cars and one or two 358s showed up. The only Posse car to venture east was Allenbach/Wolfe. Unless you consider Ott's 25 house car that Pauch was in to be Posse. Supposedly Al Hamilton has something vested in the car also.

The crowd was so-so. I've seen a LOT more fans there for Outlaw shows in the past.

Sides got the jump on Steve on the start and Steve got him back in lapped traffic. Jason hounded the old man until the last lap when he went to the outside and they both crossed under the checkers side by side. It was one hell of a night even though it ended up being a 6 1/2 hour ordeal. TK also looked strong in the "A" on a track that didn't have a lot of passing since it stayed pretty heavy after the rain.

From J Gibson's commentary, I'd say Lucas Wolfe was awsome! Dropped away a bit in the last few laps though...

Andre, Lucas WAS strong all night. In the A main, he was all over Kinser fighting for second. Never could get the pass done though and once Steve got by Sides in lapped traffic, Lucas faded back a bit. That, and the fact that TK was coming on like a freight train. :)

Update for you people out East. The split is over. I realize you people still throw that in to the exscuse pile every now and then but it is truley over.

How was that an "exscuse?" You may want to invest in a dictionary there, Tex. And I "truley" mean that. Every one of your posts has been some flaming nonsense. BRR's post was right about the Outlaw crowds being down compared to what they were four or five years ago. It wasn't a shot against the Outlaws; it was just a true statement.

Why don't you share some of your Sprint Car knowledge instead of your horrendous spelling? Just a hunch, but are you still in high school?

call it whatever you want...more seats are empty compared to local shows.

the stock prices are a bargain, buy now if you really believe in the product.

Maybe attendance being down has something to do with gas prices, watching/listening on the Internet, bad weather, etc. There are numerous reasons why crowds are less right now. I don't think it has anything to do with the product on the race track.

Anyone interested in a "vob" digital video of this race? do you a torrent client? I have a torrent I placed here

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3705240/World_Of_Outlaws_New_Egypt_NJ_5-07.VOB

First night with new 4 hour old panasonic DVD camera. I had just enough time to charge the battery and run out the door to the dirt track. My first video ever so I apologize for running out on the DVD with two laps to go. But the finish order didnt change anyway. I couldn't be happier with the camera and the quality of the video. It records in stereo so put on the headphones and crank it up!!! Enjoy.

I havent seen 410 sprints since before my dad died in 2001, we (me my son and my dad) stopped at lincoln on our way to visit Gettysburg and i talked my dad into detouring to watch his first sprint race.  dont get to see them often here in NJ

I can tell you why attendance was light (well it wasn't really light but if you say so) As i was about to leave central jersey to had south towards New Egypt the sky's, opened up. I almost didn't go. I felt for sure they would cancel. I dialed info on my cell and connected with the track. The recorded message stated they were racing and the sun was shining. I headed down the turnpike in the rain till i got to the exit. The pike was dry down there at that point put the sky was dark. I pulled into the track with my son. DAMN I was LATE! they were doing sprint time trials! As soon as my butt hit the aluminium it started to rain! In a way it was good for me cause i hand not even figured my new camcorder out. I didn't want to get up because i brought no towel and my seat would get wet. I stayed planted. Fumbled with my new toy a bit. Took all the tags off and made sure there was no lens cap on. Considering the rain I think they had a very good crowd. Remember it was raining on and off throughout the state and heavy at times. Similar crowds at Bridgeport way back when they had the world of outlaws there. And thats compared to a dry day. I had not visited The New New Egypt since they reconfigured the track. It was much faster. I can remember the sprints completely off the throttle on the turns on the old configuration. And Thanks to the lovely girl driving the shuttle who picked us up in the parking lot. I was jogging in a panic cooler and camera in tow because i was late. That pretty girl saved this old man from an asthma attack. I was also very pleased with the service I got at the concessions and the ticket booth. To show you how unfamiliar with the track I was I asked for two tickets. The lady asked what section? Baffled and in a hurry I said "Oh i dunno.. The Middle??!!" . The variety of food available was astounding. you name it they had it. Also when we left it was mere moments from my parking space behind turn two till the exit. Yeah my wife had to take the Sebring to the car wash the next day! For the fun me and my son had I would have washed it with a toothbrush. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Remind me not to post after Ive had a monster on the commute home from work.

Good recap, AW.

One thing I will add after seeing what you said about the food is that I ended up with food poisoning for three days afterward from the food vendor.

I enjoyed the show but could have done without that!
